This product seems overrated to me. Definitely not worth that kind of money for my skin type, but maybe it works beautifully on others.
I think I need a better primer (currently alternating between the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer and that pink Tarte primer), and maybe the Tarte peach setting spray that the MUA used on me. Sometimes I'm too oily with these primers. But I still love this foundation! I have acne scars and it doesn't cover them completely, but this isn't something that bothers me. It still does a great job in evening my skin tone and making my skin appear more beautiful than any other foundation has.
The only downside is I find myself using more foundation with this brand than with other brands. Regardless, everything else is so good so I will definitely buy this again when I'm through!
I would consider the Luminous Silk Foundation to have a light to medium buildable coverage. It can be used by all skin types. The end result is a natural, radiant finish.
Is this foundation a splurge? Yes, but it makes my skin look amazing. Having a great foundation in your beauty arsenal is essential because it serves as the base for the rest of your makeup. As far as luxury brand foundations, I’ve had the best luck with Dior. I love this product so much that I also purchased the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Powder Foundation. If you feel like treating yourself, I highly recommend this foundation.
I will say this foundation is pricey, but you honestly get what you pay for. I even love the smell of this foundation... kind of alcohol-like/fresh? Not sure how to describe it really, but this is my holy grail. GA you never disappoint!
