The Obsidian is a handy medium sized pocket knife. It features a button lock with a secondary slide lock. The slide lock allows the knife blade to be locked in the open or closed position. The blade is about 3” long and useful for most cutting tasks. The steel is a lower grade stainless steel, so don’t expect great edge retention. The handle is glass filled nylon over a stainless steel frame, giving the knife some heft. With practice the blade can be opened and closed by pressing the button and using inertia. It has a fixed position pocket clip , so it can only be carried in the “tip down “ position. What makes this knife useful is the two additional tools located in the tail end of the knife. One is a Phillips head bit, the other a combination bottle opener and straight bit. I’ve used the two driver bits often and they seem to hold up fine. However after some heavy use there is some play in those two. A nice feature would have been a lock for the driver bits , but it lacks that. So the bits are for light work. Overall I find the knife quite useful for every day carry, especially if you’re a homeowner doing work around the house. I’d buy it again.

My husband purchased this knife about 6 months ago. He uses it several times per day for both work and person use. It works great so far. He has sharpened it a few time. I would say if your on edge about whether or not you should purchase one, I’d so go for it. You won’t be disappointed.
