I received the Glazed Walnut color, which is a very close match to my natural hair color. I was currently sporting a pink ombre (that had been bleach under the pink color, of course). I had never used an at-home dye of a natural color all over my hair, so coupled with having to cover gray and pink, I was worried.
My worries were not at all well-founded! The kit came with everything you needed--including gloves, which was a first for me. The directions were simple and it was easy to mix the color and activator. The smell was strong but I actually loved it; it smelled like a beauty shop :)
I have hair that is fine but extremely thick, dry, and down past my waist. I was worried I wouldn't have enough dye, but it actually was just fine, even covering up the pink!
I left it on for a good 30 minutes, then rinsed. I was so impressed with how it rinsed. Normally, the dye I put on my hair "bleeds" for days. This didn't, and it didn't make any sort of mess.
I was astounded when I got out of the shower and blew my hair dry. It was all one color! I could not believe it covered the pink, grays, and my normal color all exactly the same. My hair was also very moisturized and soft. No other at-home dyes I've used have done anything to any grays and this BANISHED them.
It's stayed, too! I wash my hair AT LEAST twice a day with $1 shampoo, too. This stuff is in there to last. The color isn't flat, either. It still has some depth, which surprised me. I'm definitely buying this again the next time I need to "reset" a crazy color or cover some grays.
It took 10 minutes to apple the color all over my head ( if you have shoulder length hair and your hair is thick, you Will need two bottles) I had just enough product to cover my entire head with. I left the color on for 20 minutes. It Washed out very easy. The conditioner it came with is amazing and smells fantastic. My hair didn’t feel like I just dyed it at all. This product does exactly everything it claims to do. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future and will recommend it to my family and friends. I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
As you can see, inside the box there is: a bottle of developer, a tube of color creme, an ampoule of fruit oil concentrate, and a small bottle conditioner. The box also includes detailed instructions and a pair of disposable gloves (WIN!).
Because my grays are mostly around my roots (I regularly dye my hair), I applied the dye on my roots and let the color process for the maximum suggested 25 minutes before spreading the color downwards towards my ends.
I was really happy with how my hair came out! This stuff doesn't have that toxic, overwhelming scent of some other box dyes. It has a pleasant, fruity smell but was still super effective in covering up all of my grays. I'll definitely be trying out more from this brand, but probably in a different color just to switch things up!
Some helpful tips for people who don't have much experience dying their hair at home:
1. Dab some conditioner or vaseline all around your hairline in order to prevent your skin from getting stained
2. Hold on to any leftover conditioner you have because this stuff is super moisturizing
3. You may want to enlist a friend's help because it can be a little tough to reach the back of your head
4. If you have shoulder-length hair or longer that you want to completely color, you will definitely want to get a second box of dye. However, if you are just trying to maintain your roots, one box will do
I don't use box dye that often. When I do, it's because I don't have the time to go to the salon. I am also very skeptical of box dye, both because of the quality of the color results, and because of the damage certain brands can do to your hair.
This product resulted in nice, even coverage. The color looked similar to the box, and the formula left my hair feeling very silky. I can't comment on whether or not it quickly fades as I just dyed it. If you have very long hair, or very thick hair, you'll deff want to pick yourself up two boxes just in case. I usually find myself needing two boxes of dye when my hair is super long.
Overall, I was satisfied with the product, and would reccommend it to those who use box dye.

Color: it was a great match to my natural hair color. My hair is balayage blonde, but hasn’t been touched up in months. My greys strands were noticeable and this product came at the best time! I used it to touch up my roots and sections of strands (I still wanted to keep my balayage). It worked out perfectly!
Texture: my hair felt like silk, shiny, and healthy after using it. But it has always after using this company’s products.
Smell: no over powering ammonia scent. No headaches procured while I was using this product and the shampoo and conditioner treatment smell lovely.
Staying power: from my experience it does lasts about a month with normal 4-5 a week washes, but you can lengthen the time by using shampoo made for color treated or brunette hair. I only use paraben and sulfate free shampoo in my hair, which I also find helps.
I would recommend this product to anyone!
