I bought this for our new cat who had only ever gone potty outside, I hoped that it would work to help him understand how to use his litter box. I followed the instructions and hoped for the best. My cat still does not want to use the litter box. I guess this stuff works for some cats but not mine. The smell isn’t strong at all and the package was easy to open and use. I guess this is just a trial and error product.
