Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus
My sister has to read this novel for Summer Reading and because of this I decided to re-read the classic I had to read in High School. I loved it then and I adore it now. This novel stands the test of time as the OG horror novel (created by a wonderful woman and author, Mary Shelley). This book horrifies you in a way which leaves you thinking "who was the real monster?". It tackles themes such as God-complex, how far science should go in the pursuit of knowledge and the search for love. I know the writing is dense (it's the times) but I promise it is a book worth the time and effort to decode the antiquated form of writing. Forever a required reading and, even if it isn't, a book to read before you die.
