We really like this bottle! It is leak proof (most of the time), but you have to make sure to get all the parts on correctly and tight. If there's water around the edges, sometimes that's what "leaks" out, but it's not exactly leaking, if that makes sense. My favorite thing about this cup is that it's stainless steel. I don't have to worry about any icky chemicals from plastic bottles.

I will have to try this because the cups I have now says spill proof but have proven to be ooh so wrong

No where near as spill proof as advertised, it's fine for the kids if we are out and about for the day but a big no-no for packing in their lunch bags as everything ended up wet. :(
