I had FPL before I moved to a different area. It was a good Utility company and with all the hurricanes we had in South Florida, that mattered. Generally power was restored pretty quickly and they were good about communication. My bill was reasonable and service was reliable.

Where we live, we joke that FPL stands for Flicker Power And Light. It would be a beautiful sunny day and the power will randomly go out. We live in a hurricane prone area and our power will go out for weeks. The pricing has increased a lot over the past year or two and they have been working with the state to get an additional increase approved so they can increase our rates again. I don’t see where we are benefitting from their increases or where they have improved our grid so we can just hope one day it will get better.

I had Fp&L when I lived in Florida. Their customer service is ok.. the bill was a bit high but I did run my air conditioner all day and night. They were amazing when we did loose power because of hurricanes or weather related.
