I love balm-styler highlighters, with Glossier Haloscope and rMS Beaty Living Luminizer being my two go to's. And this hits that lovely spot right in between the two. Startle, the color I choose, is the perfect dewy with shimer and glimmer that makes my cheekbones pop. More intense than the Haloscope, but not as sticky as RMS beauty, it's a great addition to my collection. Lasts well, touches up well to add intensity for evening and doesn't disrupt makeup underneath AS LONG AS YOU TAP IT ON. Apply straight from tube, you might smear. But tapping does the trick.

I keep to focus on supporting brands like this! I love that this glides on top of foundation. You can use your finger to apply and blend it in. You can use this to be subtle or intense. It reminds me of my ofra glazed donut but in a travel friendly packaging. I'm so glad I gave this a try cuz it's beautiful! I can't wait to try more from this flesh.

I have this in the pink color and it was a gift with purchase at Ulta. The texture is really nice and it gives a nice glow. It's not an extreme highlight but then again I don't like it to look like I have icing on my cheeks. I don't find that it picks up any of my foundation when I put it on. I blend it out with either my fingers or a stippling brush. I would have never bought this product on my own so I'm glad I got it as a gift because I really do like it. I took a star off because the gift with purchase I got is flesh's full size. In comparison to other brands the full size flesh is their mini size. If I'm getting a full size flesh highlighter as a gift with purchase, why on earth would I buy it outright for $18?

Review for: Startle, Squeeze more...
I looove this product. I am a sucker for highlighters, especially highlighter sticks that are easy for on the go. I picked up Startle which is a beautiful silvery shade, and Squeeze, my go to bronzy-topaz shade. They both wear very nicely underneath foundation. The trick is to warm it up on your hand and then tap the product in, rather than swiping the stick over your foundation. The payoff is intense though, they are beautiful shades. I will definitely be picking up the other two sometime soon.

I got this from Ulta during 21 Days of Beauty when it was 50% off. I have been really excited for the brand Flesh because quite a few of their products are silicone free, which is really hard to find! I had a hard time choosing which shades to get (I got this in Startle and the powder in Boost) because I couldn’t find very many comparison swatches. I have light skin and Startle seems to be the only one I could wear. It is more glittery and silvery than I had hoped - I prefer a natural dewy glow to a blinding metallic one - but I find that it settles down well and ends up looking more subtle. I think the shades this comes in is really lacking - I’d like to see a champagne shade for fair to light skin and a gold shade for light to medium. Anyway, I have applied this straight from the stick and didn’t have any problems with it lifting up my BB creams or light-medium foundations. I find that it works best to warm the top of the stick with your fingers first to soften it. I haven’t tried applying over any powders because creams don’t tend to do well applied over powder. I have blended the product in with my fingers and the face brush in my Real Techniques Mini Trio Brush Set and both work. I love the dewy finish this leaves because it looks very natural over my BB cream which is the look I got for day to day. I only use silicone free makeup because I have very acne prone skin and this product didn’t bother my skin at all! Highly recommend, but I’d only suggest the shade Startle for fair or light skin because it is very light and silvery and would likely look ashy on darker skin tones. Oh and the size is generous, I don’t use much per day and this would last me at least 6 months, probably more like a year, so I don’t have any issue with the $18 price point.

I love this stick and I am very happy with how it looked. I love that it goes on easily. It’s good for all of the types of skin. It’s long lasting and looks amazing. I would recommend this to a lot of people that have the same skin problems as me.

I just bought this product and I was so excited to use a highlighter that was not a powder to see if it made a difference. This highlighter is perfect for a quick touch up and you don’t have a brush just use your fingers to lightly pat it down. It stays on for a long time and it has a very natural look to it.

Gorgeous glow in the summer. I love love love the way it applies. Some products like this accentuate pores and lines but I don’t have an issue with this. The color is gorgeous. And can we talk about this beautiful, simple packaging?!
