I have been using this yeast for a all kinds of baking projects. It rises perfectly everytime. I usually do let it sit with sugar for about 10 minutes so it can bloom before I mix my recipe together and I find that helps. Even tho it’s self rising it just helps to make sure the yeast is actually active. I store it in my freezer and that seems to work very well.
Very easy to store, used it to make Cinnabon‘s, but my dough did not rise. Packaging is very useful. Not sure if product was fresh or not. My Cinnabon’s still turned out good but very little bit dense.
The breads I have baked with this yeast! Let me tell you- whether you’re making challah or sourdough or whatever, this yeast is key. It works well for leavening and the shelf life is long. With how often I bake, I prefer to buy the larger container and scoop it out, but the packets are easy for those who don’t bake as often.
