Recently, I have had a cold that just won't quit and it pulled out all the stops - coughing, sneezing, sore throat, nasal congestion...blech. If there's one thing I cannot stand it is a sore throat so upon going to the store to find some relief for all the scratchiness and pain, I was more than happy to take a chance on some new lozenges in the form of Fisherman's Friend. At only $2 for a box of 38 lozenges, I thought it was worth the risk but these surpassed my expectations completely. These lozenges successfully cleared my sore throat within 6 hours of using them, as opposed to the 1-2 days it normally takes to relieve a sore throat, and the 10mg of menthol soothed it to such a degree that I could eat and swallow comfortably within 10 minutes. Most lozenges have a few milligrams of menthol but the massive amount in these allowed them to break through all of the symptoms and treat the underlying condition instead of the symptoms.

If you are having upper respiratory problems, Fishermans Friend will help you breathe and calm your cough. They taste yucky, but does the job.

I really don't like the texture of Fishermans Friends. They are almost like cardboard breaking down on your tongue. And the relief is not worth it either, I don't feel much difference. I prefer Halls or Cepacol.
