  • "i really really love this product however my only concern is with the highlighter i wasn’t too sure how to apply it because it’s almost as if you’re not sure of whether it’s a powder or creamy like product so i wasn’t sure if to apply after i put on my power or after my foundation and concealer. i think it would be better if the highlighter were powder . • "these skin sticks are pretty nice!  the contour shade in this trio (amber) is a great cool-toned contour shade for light skin tones!  the concealer shade (linen) is a good match for my skin tone.  the highlight shade (starstruck) is such a pretty pinky highlight!  i loved purchasing these in a trio, i feel like it was a good price point for 3 sticks (they are $25 if you buy them separately)  the formula on these is a tad on the dry side, so if you have dry skin use with caution!  i tend to be on the combo/oily side so they work great for me!  i do recommend for combo/oily skin types." in 14 reviews

While I love the idea of this set, I feel that it missed the mark.  My biggest issue with this set is that I found that none of the colors in the kits perfectly fit my needs.  I spent a decent amount of time deciding between getting the light and medium kit.  I liked the light kit because of the contour shade and highlight but the concealer shade was off.  For the medium kit, I liked the contour and the concealer but I knew I would never use the highlight.  I ended up going with the light kit.  I found that the contour worked beautifully and loved it.  However, I did not like the concealer formula and would prefer to use it as a brighter instead.  Unfortunately, it was not the right shade to be used as brighter.  The highlighter was nice but it was a bit on the drier side.  Overall, although 2 of the 3 products were satisfying, I don't think it worth the money.  I personally would suggest only buying the contour or whichever product of the 3 that you would use most, separately and not in a set

I've never tried cream products like these before, but I was curious about a really good contour color and enlisted in the help of an employee to find the perfect one. She showed me the concealer stick and a highlighter as well, and honestly I wasn't completely sold on the concealer stick in the store. However, I purchased the trio because it was a great deal and I really loved the color Amber, which was a shade darker than what we had played around with in the store. However, I was blown away when I actually tried the concealer stick out for myself. While in the store it covered up my dark circles, when I tried it on by myself it actually highlighted and concealed in one for me. It didn't break apart all day long, which i something I've always had a problem with with concealers. The contour stick is perfect and it's so easy to blend! A little product honestly goes a really long way. The highlighter in this trio is really beautiful as well, and easy to blend. I've heard a lot of people have mix reviews on the match stix in general, but they're one of my favorite products. They blend effortlessly and a little goes a very long way -- plus they're very reasonably priced compared to other products that are similar. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone -- they're so easy to use and very good for beginners!

So far I have only used the concealer, but it’s the same formula as the contour so it’s about the same review. I have not used the highlight and don’t plan to in the future for reasons you will learn in this review!

I bought this concealer on a whim because Fenty beauty seemed like a big hit. They didn’t have the concealer I originally went to buy so I just picked this one instead. That was a little bit of a mistake. This product is good for brightening up the face. I particularly used it under my eyes in that triangle shape, on my forehead, the bridge of my nose, and my chin and upper lip because I used to have a foundation too dark for me. It did not work great for me to cover dark circles or to put smaller amounts on a certain place because the product would just wipe off my foundation and itself every time I tried to blend it. This ain’t great especially since it’s expensive and there’s only about an inch of production in the whole thing like shown in the picture. It still gets 3 stars because I do use it for priming my eyelids and to brighten up my undereye but I will not be buying this product again, especially for the price. So when I first purchased these, I never used them. They enhanced my dry patches and smeared my foundation around when applying them. I kept them around just in case I would revisit them and try to use them again. Well let me tell you, I am so glad I did. I changed up my skincare regimen and my skin is so much more moisturized and primed. It’s hard to apply these with dry skin. So make sure you prep your skin thoroughly. It glides right on and buffs out so beautifully and naturally with both a buff brush (don’t drag brush on face, instead use the brush in dabbing motions) and a moist beauty blender. I have fallen in love with the Match Stix trio and they give me such a great natural makeup look.

I went to sephora the other day with a plan to only get a new concealer. I just so happened to get that and then some. Hahah.. Anyways, this product is my absolute favorite! I should’ve invested in this months ago! After watching Rihannas makeup tutorial with vogue I just had to get this product and try it out for myself. So I got the trio in Tan and it comes with: Caramel as the concealer, Truffle as the contour, and Rum as the highlight.

I did exactly what she did by warming each product on the back of her hand and let me tell you! It’s so good on the skin! because the way it feels on my skin is so light and like she says in her video “ it covers up dark circles and bad decisions” it does just that job haha
So easy to blend out with a damp beauty blender and it’s amazing because you don’t need so much! A little goes a long way and it’s long lasting! The highlight is so subtle yet makes you feel so sophisticated. I mix Rum and Truffle for the eyes and just makes a great neutral day to day makeup look.

I wanted so badly to love this trio, but I was honestly disappointed.  I will start off by saying that I do love the packaging and the fact that they are magnetic.  I also love how Rihanna made so many shades so that everyone can find a color for them.  However,  I do not like how hard it is to get the color on my skin.  You really have to push down to get the concealer to work and it is dry in my opinion.  The contour stick is not as bad though! Also the highlight color is very orange-y in my opinion.  After trying this I have decided that I really prefer a liquid concealer and a powder highlight.

LOVE this product! I test swatched my friend's set and knew that I wanted it for myself as well. The trio works perfectly for its base function -- highlight, conceal, blush -- but it's actually so versatile! My favorite stix by far is the matte shade Mocha, which I use on a daily basis. You really do get a lot of product based on how little you use each time, though you have to warm it up a little to get it to apply in that smooth creamy way.

But like I was saying, the matchstix are so versatile! You can use the shades as eyeshadow or body shimmer. The packaging is also so convenient because they magnetically snap into place and are so tiny to begin with. I keep the trio in my bag at all times. Rihanna nailed it out the park with this trio.

This brand really inspired me to break out of my comfort zone. I love these products because they aren't intimidating. The matchsticks are sleek and easy to use. The trio is a fantastic buy because for $54 you get a contour(Mocha), highlight(Bamboo) and highlighting shimmer stick(Trippin'). These products have the dopest names of any products I've ever bought. They are creamy, easy to blend and dry down as a powder. They are builable without being cakey. I normally use Real Techniques brushes to blend out but apply directly from the stick. I sometimes use my fingers to blend out the highlighting shade and shimmer shade and it looks just as diffused. One disclaimer is that the highlight shade is great for highlighting and even concealing minor blemishes but it is no match for my extremely dark undereyes. This is not a terrible drawback for me because I just layer a small dab of my Too Faced Born This Way concealer over it to get the job done.

Such a good product! I love that three of the shades purchased in a Trio only comes up to $54, when each is normally $25. (Do the math!) Caramel isn’t a highlight shade for me, but it is excellent as a concealer/color correcting shade for my under-eye area. Use a “beauty blending” sponge to blend. I find that better than a brush. Truffle is a great deep neutral shade used for contouring. I also love that I didn’t have to set the contour. It dries to a powder finish. Rum is a beautiful bronze shade. I use it as a very natural-looking highlight and as an eyeshadow! I highly recommend.

I will purchase the Medium soon.

How much pigmentation is in the contour/concealer sticks? Seems a bit sheer/shimmery.
