FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna Invisimatte Blotting Powder
As an oily girl I tend to always look for a banana powder or translucence powder that will cover my fine lines under my eyes and also leave me matte throughout the day. This powder is amazing at doing both without leaving a cast on my face. I basically use it as a powder to bake and then I dust it off my face without feeling super drying. And of course I carry this in my purse for those touch up moments where I will start to get oily on my T-zone and once I applied the powder my face is back to looking how it once did. Which is amazing considering I’ve tried tons of powders that just don’t work for me. Highly suggest this powder for any other oily girls and guys who need a powder that won’t give off a flashback in pictures or white cast left on your face! 10 out of 10 for me! This is my holy grail mattifying powder I live in Arizona and it gets up 127 degrees. I love this powder because they really does mattify and blot. I not only keep on in my everyday makeup drawer but also one in my purse with a little brush. I use his differently then most I actually will set my tzone with and a brush at the very end because I get oily there and I’ve noticed my foundation doesn’t break up and lasts longer. I apply this only in the spots I want to mattify because I love a glowy look and this is a great little product for achieving the glow not greasy look.
First off I just want to say that I brought this specific product for the packaging and the fact that Rihanna made it. With that being said I feel like no brand can ever go wrong with a blotting powder. Therefore I feel like there are dozens of cheaper alternatives out there if you are wanting to save a few bucks. Because this black powder is $32 which is extremely steep in pricing if you asked me. So I feel like although this one powder is good you can honestly go to CVS or Ulta and pick up a blotting powder by NYX And get the same result. I also want to mention that blotting powder is specifically used to touch up your make up, so if you are purchasing this with hopes that it will set your make up and lock it in all day I think it would be best if you go in with your normal powder. Then throughout the day of course if you need to touch up then use this. Because if you have oily skin use the list by itself just that your make up will not make a difference. But again overall this product is good, it will control your oils throughout the day. But again you can’t find many blotting powders for half the price if not more on the market.
I seriously LIVE for this powder!!! I purchased it at Sephora on a whim when the line first came out but never really used it because of work. I am an athletic trainer and we were only having practice so I wasn't super concerned if I got shinier than usual (I have oily skin and am out in the sun a lot). Once we started having events and televised games I started using it more and more and now I have one at home, one at work in my locker, and one in my purse! Can you say obsessed?? Haha anyway, I do my make-up like normal in the morning with setting powder and sometimes I just blot this on my "lowercase t zone" as I call it (center of forehead down to chin, and then in my cheeks where I bake my concealer) to start out my day, or just do it later in the day in the same places. This powder will even take away the shine grin your highlight so be careful, or just add more highlight. You're makeup looks brand new, no touch ups needed! Just recently I had an early morning at work, ran around busy all day and then rushed home for an event late at night. I managed to blot some powder on in attempt to hide the craziness of the day and so many people complimented me on my make-up. Seriously, every one needs this! Waayyy better than blotting paper because it puts down just the right amount of powder and gives your skin a little blurring effect.
Now this is everything and more that I've ever wanted in a blotting/touch up powder. It is perfect for carrying around in my purse and the compact is beautiful and makes it really fun to use. This takes down any or Elaine s in my T-Zone that occurs during the course of the day and minimizes my pores amazingly, which is my biggest concern as my makeup breaks up throughout the day. it's just a beautifully smooth powder without being too dry.
It’s a good product. There isn’t anything special about it - it does it’s job though! I purchased it in hopes of using it as a setting powder (not a good idea). I strictly use it for blotting throughout the day or to mattifying my makeup when needed. The packaging is super cute + it has a mirror. I probably wouldn’t repurchase it again because I could find a more affordable alternative, but I’m happy to have tried to out!
Honestly I think this powder is way better than drugstore alternatives (if you get oily throughout the day like me). This powder doesn’t just cake on more powder on top of all your products. It actually gets rid of the oil, keeps me mattified for HOURS past what I used to be able to get from my makeup, and never cakes up. It doesn’t even look like I’ve added anything to my makeup when I use this. It’s like a magic wand that just erases all traces of oil! I’ve NEVER had that experience from any other blotting powder, this or definitely changed the game for me.
I saw RiRi use this powder in her latest viral makeup tutorial and I immediately had to have it. I didn’t even know she made a powder to be honest. I have been searching for a really great setting powder. I have little to no dry skin on my face. I applied this with a damp beauty blender because using brushes is honestly a little weird for me and I don’t get the proper coverage from the makeup. It is perfectly matte and covers like a dream. I definitely will have to incorporate this into my daily makeup routine. I recommend this product by fenty beauty!
Recently bought this product because I wanted to use a transparent powder. It goes on smoothly and doesn't leave any residue. It does wear off my skin after a short few hours due to my oily skin but I just reapply and everything is fine after. It works better for me than using powder foundations to match my color since I tan easily.
I really liked this product at first and was my go to until I found my nyx powder I love. This does its job very well and the only downside is that I did find that even on me (a pale girl) there is a white cast. This white cast is made even worse by flash photography. But if that doesn’t bother you very much this does it job well.
