Fast Girl: A Life Spent Running from Madness
This was a captivating well-written memoir of an Olympic runner diagnosed as Bi-polar and she did a great job detailing how she got into running and how her illness constantly had her pushing boundaries which is great if you are an Olympic athlete. But then after retirement she kept chasing the high and that led her to a double life as a Vegas call-girl. I liked how she was able to explain her illness and how it played out in others in her family in between chapters to remind us that no matter how people played it out - the bottom line is that there is a mental disorder beneath it all. I keep thinking about it. She is a strong lady!
