#Giftcrush This year I don't want anything materialistic. All I want for my family and myself, is a roof above our heads. We lost our house earlier this year and we had to move out in a week. We luckily found an apartment during that small time frame, to later find out that the Apartments had changed management company and the rent was being raised. We had to look for another place to live. To later find out that one of our neighbors from across the street where we used to live had placed their house for rent and we were the first to come to mind. We were so #blessed by this opportunity that we took it. But our hopes came crushing down when the owner Doña Antonia had passes away and she had not left a will for her property, and with that said we find ourself on hold as to whether the house will be put up for sale and when.? This year has been a struggle for our family. Which is why I ask for nothing bought this year... But for a place to call home.
This was such a good show! It was so nice what they did for families in need. The families got their dream houses and truly deserved it. Ty and the builders were always so passionate about what they were doing. It was cool to see the different stages of the house being built. I was always so excited for them to move the bus and see the finished house. I also liked when they would walk through the house after and you could see the people's reactions. This was an awesome show.
I loved this show when it was on! Unfortunately- I never see it anymore! What happened to it?! I loved how they would always do something special for someone in the house. Whether it was someone with a disability or a small child just wanting their dream bedroom! This show touched my heart somehow.. with every episode! I wish they would bring it back.
I had completely forgotten about this show!!! Why in the world did it stop coming on? I used to LOVE watching this and the heart warming families that it helped. We really need more shows like this instead of just having the renovation shows on HGTV.
miss this show. this show was the best on sundays at 8. there is no real show like this on tv now that really got the community together. wish they came back to do more seasons. nothing is smiliar like this show. i think it was a mush watch back then

Oh my goodness. Talk about tear jerker television. This was such a great show. I loved Ty and all the other cast members. This show brought families together and communities together, which I love. I loved seeing all the great ideas that they would come up with for each family members rooms and how they made them so special. Great television that we so desperately need in this day and age.
I used to love watching this show and that they would always try to provide a new home to a family in need. It wasn't until later I found out some of the families either couldn't afford to keep the homes or the homes that were built for kids in foster families some of the families kicked them out after.
This show has made me cry more times than I can count. It was amazing to see how much a new house could really help someone that was in need and everyone on this show really deserved that. It was great to see how they incorporated everyone's personalities and likes into the decor of the home
I LOVED this show! They were sending such a wonderful message to those watching and to the families and wonderful individuals participating. I had the opportunity to serve at a Christian camp for people with special needs which was renovated thanks to Extreme Home Makeover. The renovations rejuvenated the camp allowing them to continue serving kids of all ages and follow their motto, "kids being kids."
