The cool lipliner colors ensure clear contours and beautiful, shapely lips. A practical effect: the lipliner is smudge-proof and especially long-lasting.

- "Love Essence lip liners they are so creamy. This color is such a pretty color could use on its own paired with lip gloss." in 115 reviews
I purchased these for $2 each when I saw them at Meijer. I was intrigued because I had liked a couple of other products from the brand. These liners had searched beautifully when I got them home, so I had to immediately try them on. I tried to put them on my lips but they were extremely stiff and scratchy. I then thought to warm them up on the back of my hand. I still had a problem with them being stiff. Finally, I tried warming them up near a lighter for about 2-5 seconds at a time. This didn’t help either. I love the shades but the stiffness just doesn’t work for me.
I'm not a big investor of lip pencils, but I decided to give these a go. Yeah they're cheap, but that's all they are: cheap. These are very hard against the lips and it is hard to get the pigment to show up. I have to use a lip balm with these in order for them to apply more smoothly. Just because a product is cheap, doesn't mean it will be a good investment. I would pass on these. Essence has a lot of other products I absolutely love, but these are a no from me.
Love love LOVE! First of all, this formula is incredible. Usually pencil liners are dry and stiff, but not this one. It glides on with ease and wears comfortably. This particular shade, in the nude, is the PERFECT nude! I love to line and fill in my lips with this shade and then top it with a gloss. Like the gently gloss bomb and one of colourpops glitter ultra glossy lip toppers. So good and beyond affordable. This is my go to liner.
Love these lip liners. So soft and creamy and easy to apply. I have a hard time finding the brand but I love the price point of these liner and the colors are great for nude wearers like myself. Similar to Mac liner and even Nyx but cheaper than mac and better quality then Nyx in my opinion
I have multiple essence lip liners. Multiple shades... they are all super nice. Colors are pigmented and glide on effortlessly. They last all day. And look great on their own. And come on.. you can’t beat the price... I can typically find them on sale for 1$ but even when not on sale they are 2$... well worth the $. I prefer them to my high end lip liners.
I love how many colors and cheaply priced they are!! Pigmentation is great. I use the red lipliner to outline my lips so I can use my Kylie lipstick. It's so amazing bc i save myself so much money instead of having to buy the kits for her.

These lip liners are good for their price point. I feel as though you do sacrifice some quality for that though. They don't last that long and they aren't that creamy when applying them. They do work better when you warm them up a little bit. I do find myself still reaching for them, especially the shade Satin Mauve.
These liners are so affordable but they aren't the best drugstore lip liners. They definitely are long lasting and pigmented but they are a bit too dry for my liking. I find that I can't fill in my lips with them without getting a dry chapped look. I always have to apply lip balm before applying this liner.
This is the best everyday lip liner! The color is so pretty and soft and the formula is nice and creamy without looking like it’s feathering towards the middle of the day. I like to use this under different nude lipsticks, it goes with most of them! And it’s so inexpensive it’s a product worth buying.
Q & A
I've heard that these are really good quality for the price. Are they creamy?
How easy is this to use?
Is it a long lasting lip liner
Probably a dumb question but how do you use a lip liner? Do you match it to your lipstick shade, or go darker or lighter? I'm just not sure on using them
