I'm not a fan of layering, and this brand seems built entirely around this concept. The compositions are linear, lacking the evolution and interplay of notes I usually look for in a perfume. Instead, they rely heavily on modern synthetics like ambroxan and amberwood, which feel too obvious and unrefined here. I really wanted to enjoy this discovery kit, but unfortunately, Ellis Brooklyn just isn't the brand for me. It was fun to experiment with the set, but I wouldn't purchase a full bottle of any of these.

This is such a great sample set. It's nice to try out all of the different scents. I love every single one of them. They're great to take on the go in your purse.

This is a Amber Vanilla fragrance for women. Top notes are Milk, Peony, Frangipani and Jasmine; middle notes are Bourbon Vanilla, Madagascar Vanilla and Cacao Pod; base notes are Benzoin, Amyris, Sandalwood and Musk. I didn’t like this perfum when I first sprayed it, but when it dries down it smells like a nice vanilla scent with a little smoky touch. The lasting power is moderate. I would recommend testing it before buying.
