Review for: Moonlight Pearls, Blush Gems more...
I got Moonlight Pearls and Blush Gems because Walmart had 50% off on tons of makeup, so I just went for it. A friend who went shopping with me warned me about "the top layer" before I bought it, so it wasn't really an issue for me. I just took the "wrong" end of my tweezers and scraped the top layer off before I used them. It makes such a difference when it comes to glow and intensity. It will be dull if you don't take the extra time to get deeper into the highlight. It's an otherwise beautiful highlight. With my light-more-medium skintone, I use Blush Gems as an everyday highlight and Moonlight Pearls when I want to step it up a small notch. If I use a heavy hand, Moonlight Pearls gets a little too glittery for me. Definitely not a dealbreaker. These baked highighters are great products, especially if you're not looking to spend too much!

This new highlighter is so beautiful, so amazing, I collect make up and this highlighter is the bees knees.!. The color is so perfect it could literally be applied on any tone of skin and be radiant. Some say this is a dupe for Jeffree Starr highlighter. I found out about it online through make up buddies who were raving about the formula and the output of the pigment. I ran to Ulta to purchase and it was really cheap like for five dollars. The package says new stamped on the packaging so it’s a new shade and it’s absolutely beautiful. I recommend using a natural hairbrush to pick up more product it’s baked pretty decently and not too hard as a rock but you can lightly lightly lightly scrape the top layer and it would make more powdered so you can get more product onto the brush and onto your face or body.

Even after scraping off the top layers I still think this stuff is overhyped. It extenuates the texture of my skin to a ridiculous degree... and I don't even have much texture in the areas I put it to begin with. it's just not flattering. I also find it difficult to blend out or even pick up with a brush to begin with. If you're looking for an inexpensive highlighter I feel like there's far better options out there especially now when it's Highlighter-palooza

HOLY F!!!!!!! I am shook!!! Lmao. I have heard of these highlighters because everyone has hyped them up but I never went and made the purchase because I usually just stick to high end makeup. LET ME JUST SAY I WILL NEVER DISRESPECT ELF EVER AGAIN 😍😍😍👏🏼 I will be purchasing other shades tomorrow because these are amazing!!! As said by everyone else you need to scrape the top layer off but once you do that it’s perfect!!! Blush gems is such a gorgeous shade! It’s an exact dupe for macs soft & gentle highlighter! It’s so beautiful on the skin and does not emphasize any texture for me. Couldn’t say enough good things about these babies!!!!! I can’t put it down

This is a product that so many either love or hate. I’m in between. I hate it because you need to really really scrape off a few layers to get any sort of pigment out of it. I know it’s super affordable, but come on. I shouldn’t have to do that just to use a makeup product! Now, I love it because when you do finish making a mess and scraping the top few layers, you’re left with a stunning highlighter. It is still a pretty stiff formula to use even after scraping, but it works and is pretty. My advice, if you’re on a tight budget, go for it. If you can afford one that is even a little bit higher priced, go for one by essence or wet n wild because they are so much better

Moonlight pearls is not exactly the best shade for me. I should have gotten one of the darker ones, but they did not have them in stock when I went to purchase this.
You also have to scrape off the top layer of product because otherwise your brush will not pick up anything.
That being said this looks good on the skin. It blends in pretty easily, and I can match it with a lot of my cooler toned looks. I use a very light hand because, like I said, it is not a good shade for me. It is very affordable, so even if you don't like it, it's not much of a splurge.
I am thinking of getting a different shade, but I already have so many highlighters.

I had read decent reviews on this product so I decided to give it a try. I am thankful that it was so cheap because I was very disappointed in this product. The highlighter was so dry that it wouldn't even transfer onto my brush...it would barely transfer onto my finger when I tried to swatch it after I got home (I don't swatch at stores unless they have testers and there was not a tester of this product available). I even tried adding a little argan oil to the highlighter to try to make it more moist, but it still stayed super dry. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on this highlighter.

I only give it 4 stars because it is annoying, it was chalky and not that shimmery, and I scratched by mistake and the shimmer was amazing, the chalky feeling wasn't there from where I scratched it. It works for both oily and dry skin cause me and my friend put it together once and my friend is oily skin and I have a dry skin. So if you want it to work, you need to scratch the surface layer for you to get the product.

I love this highlighter! It is blinding, yet very natural as it comes in colors that match with your skin tone instead of just a blinding white. Also this is the cheapest highlighter I have ever purchased yet it works just as well as many of my more expensive highlighters. It blends well and does everything you would look for in a highlighter. I love that elf does not test on animals. Overall, I consider this highlighter super worth it. If you are looking for a natural glow that will not break your bank, I would highly recommend this product!

I really like this highlighter. I purchased it on Elf's website whenever they were having their Spring sale. The highlighter is very long last & looks nice on my fair skin. The only con with this highlighter is that you have to scrape the first layer of the highlighter off in order to get an pigment on your brush....and I do not like to waste product.
