Review for: Moonlight Pearls, Blush Gems more...
I got Moonlight Pearls and Blush Gems because Walmart had 50% off on tons of makeup, so I just went for it. A friend who went shopping with me warned me about "the top layer" before I bought it, so it wasn't really an issue for me. I just took the "wrong" end of my tweezers and scraped the top layer off before I used them. It makes such a difference when it comes to glow and intensity. It will be dull if you don't take the extra time to get deeper into the highlight. It's an otherwise beautiful highlight. With my light-more-medium skintone, I use Blush Gems as an everyday highlight and Moonlight Pearls when I want to step it up a small notch. If I use a heavy hand, Moonlight Pearls gets a little too glittery for me. Definitely not a dealbreaker. These baked highighters are great products, especially if you're not looking to spend too much!

This highlighter is a great buy. For $3 this will give you an awesome glow. Building it up is easy and it doesn't look gritty or rough on the skin like some shimmer products can do. The tip of scraping off the top layer of elf's baked products is a must with this though to really help it perform it to its best potential, which is a bit annoying. Highly recommend using a wet brush with this too to get an intense glow.

I absolutely love the color and you can build it up to how bright you wanna actually go.i did find it hard at first to use it because it has a hard layer on the top so you have to basically break it up really fine to use it, and it can be messy but I just put it in a little baggy and use it from there. I didn’t like that I had to do that at first but then over time it didn’t bother me. Once you break it then it works like a charm but don’t worry it does gradually hold back together again and then you will just have to keep breaking it but I love it and it’s a great price.

When highlight became the new makeup trend I honestly thought it was a bit tacky, but I came to love it. Since then I have tried many highlighters, some good some bad, some high end, and some drugstore. This highlighter is one of the best ones I've tried. It has such a nice glow to it. I saw a post that said to scrape the top layer off so I did and it works wonders. It's a beautiful highlighter and the price is very affordable. Moonlight Pearls is currently the only E.L.F highlight I own, but I plan on buying more shades.

I love Elf products and generally am happy with everything I've tried. This highlighter is nice for the price but it's definitely not going to stand up to other brands. The roundness of it makes it hard to get a good amount on a highlighter brush. I don't like the idea of rubbing the product on my face because it gets nasty and it's actually pretty dry. The shine of this product is pretty good for everyday, not blinding or anything. This product meets basic expectations for a day to day highlighter.

I tried moonlight pearls first and may I tell you this was such a good highlighter for such a low price a had to get blush gems days later. This is a very pigmented highlighter for a drugstore product although you can get better pigment by scrapping off the first layer of the highlighter first then it’s way better they only bad thing would be that the color starts coming off in about 6 to 7 hours but you can always reapply other than that I would definitely rebuy and recommend 100%

I had heard so much about this highlighter so I grabbed it when I had the chance. It's a very subtle highlight. Although I don't like too much highlight, I don't want to be seen from space, I do want my highlight to be a bit more noticeable than this one is. I have moonlight pearls and it's a beautiful color, but I don't know what some people mean by it's blinding. For $3 it's worth trying. It's perfect on a day when I only want a subtle natural highlight.

e.l.f. Studio Baked Highlighter glows just as much as Jeffree Star’s skin frost. The difference between the two is that with the elf highlighter, you have to rub the top with a tissue or gently scrape the top layer off in order to get that glow when it is new or not used for a while. Kind of annoying, but for $4, it’s still worth it.

This highlighter may seem as a disappointment because if you see the picture on the left it seems like it is not pigmented! However, if you see the picture on the right it is very pigmented especially for being between 4-6 dollars. To get the great results showed you have to scrape the first layer off and then just wait and see how it will become a fav!

Love this highlight. Works just as great as everyone says BUT you do have to dig deep into it before it starts working that well. You have to basically just rub off the first like maybe 4 or 5ish layers ? If that makes sense. I'd recommend just start rubbing it as soon as you open it and just keep going until you get to that pigmentation layer 😛it's worth it. It's not as much work as it sounds. And this product is also super affordable!
