e.l.f. Shimmering Facial Whip
- "this product was an impulse buy for me. i saw that my local store was clearing them out and i noticed it and decided to try it.at first i wasn't sure what to do with it. facial whip? ok... still not sure what that means but yes after opening i realised that it would be an amazing highlighter.i bought the shade lilac petal and i think it looks stunning as a cheek highlight.i personally don't use too much as i feel that it quite heavy on the face and a little goes a long way. i apply with my fingers and then dust a little extra highlight powder over the top.overall for the price i paid, it's not a bad highlight at all." in 597 reviews
- "It is a bit sticky though so what I like to do is mix it with a bit of moisturizer, a BB cream or even some liquid foundation and then apply it to th apples of my cheeks, along my cheek bones and maybe on my brow bone if I am going for a slightly less "made up" look." in 5 reviews
Love this! Super light weight and blends perfectly with my makeup. Not super shimmery which I hate. Good for any skin type. It's in between sheer and pigmented so perfect for me. It's a good low cost highlighter
Looks great under powder highlighter. Very easy to blend with a brush, finger or blender. Pink undertones are nice and bright. I also mix this with foundation or primer lotion sometimes for a "becca backlight" look.
A great highlighter, especially when considering the $1 price tag. I was definitely nervous it would be a wasted dollar, as I'm always skeptical when something is so cheap, but just like every other product of theirs I've tried I was highly impressed. There is a light scent, I wasn't expecting this but I personally love how it smells and was quite excited about this fact when I first tried this product. As mentioned in a previous review, it does seem to dry out quickly once applied. However for me focusing on a small area to blend quickly or mixing it in with the tiniest drop of foundation/skin oil solves this issue. Overall I have no complaints, I've been very happy with this product. Seems to be great quality and economical since it only costs a dollar and will last a long while.
So cheap and so worth it for only 1$. It gives a nice highlight and I do like the color, however it can be a little hard to apply and blend in. And occasionally once you've blended it in you have to do it again because the highlight has rubbed off too much.
This has an odd smell to it, almost like a strong chemical fruity smell. It goes on nice and opaque on the skin, I usually just use my fingers to pat it on and this color gives a nice hint of pink/peach to the skin!
Elf sent me this for one of their promo gifts and I fell in love! It's a pinkish highlighter but super flattering on my pale skin. It lasts all day when I use it. It's creamy and gives a nice shimmer for a night out.
I love how light this feels on my face. It gives me a beautiful sheer glow. It's pretty pigmented and you can also get it at a fairly decent price. Also easy to blend! I love it very much. I would recommend to everyone
Oh my god this stuff was my favorite all through high school. For a dollar I could get my whole face to shimmer. It was a weird high school girl look but I loved it. Great for beginners, works best with a fixing spray.
I like to add a bit of this to my foundation to give me a dewy look. I also like to use it as my highlighter under my foundation to give me a subtle glow. It is a bit sticky when first applied, but quickly goes away.
A little has gone a long way for me the packaging is adorable and I can use this everywhere on my face my eyes the tip of my nose my cheeks even my lips it is more than a highlighter and the price is amazing for that
