Review for: CRANBERRY, RICH RED more...
I have really fallen in love with elf more and more lately. I was looking for a red Matte lipstick for my Halloween costume (yes, I am a planner) and bought the Rich Red and Cranberry. While all matte lipstick formulas just tear my lips apart, I have found that I like matte lip crayons better than lipsticks or liquid lipsticks. One, they don't dry me out so much and two, I can control the crayon so much easier during application and not end up with matte lipstick on my cheek after my tremor spazzes out from trying to use my fine motor function long enough to wear lipstick. Even more important, it has the built in lip liner to help make my lips more defined and structured than just a swipe of color. I just have a hard time using the pointy tip due to my tremor, but I practice all the time because I like the look. The Rich Red wasn't quite the color I was looking for, for my costume, but it is a striking bold red that I can see myself wearing for special occasions. On the other hand, Cranberry is perfect! It is a darker, blue undertoned red that is not only flattering to my skin tone, but also perfect for Halloween. While I haven't left the colors on long enough to see how long the formula lasts, or if it even dries down matte on me, which is a problem with all matte formulas on my lips for some reason. The formula still dried out my lips for the short time I had them on overtop lip balm for easy removal. e.l.f. Matte Lip Color

I have so many of these now, because the price point is perfect and the shade range is fantastic.

The formula is a little on the dry side. I wouldn't hazard to call them creamy. And, after a few hours, I can feel the life leaving my lips. But they do wear evenly, hardly transfer, and are budge-proof once they matte down. Plus, there's a little shaper included in the end to keep them at a nice pointed tip for easy application.

E.l.f has been my drugstore favorite for a long time, and I will probably continue to grow my collection of these. But I will continue to wear a gloss on top most days.

I use this lipstick in the color praline, and on brown skin, it is the most amazing neutral color ever. I stick up on these all the time. I have a huge collection of lip colors from all different brands but this remains a staple in my collection. If I can’t decide on a color, this is my default. And at $1-$3, you really can’t beat the price. I like that it’s a long, skinny application rather than the typical lipstick shape, because that allows me to use it as a liner as well. It adds some texture to your lips that looks quite nice too. Anyone with brown skin must try this!

Review for: PRALINE more...
I saw these at Dollar Tree and decided to read the reviews before buying them for myself. The reviews were mostly positive so I went back to buy a few. I wanted Praline because almost all of the posts on Pinterest called it a "mauve" or "pinkish" shade. By the time I made it to Dollar Tree, they were sold out. I found Praline at Target so I bought it and payed the full price of $3 + tax. I was so excited to try it but was so disappointed when I put it on. It's just a basic, light shade of brown that you find in every lip kit. It also lasted 2 hours, tops before it disappeared. I didn't eat or drink and it still didn't last at all. Also, there's barely any lipstick in the tube itself, it might last a month if I would actually use it. I don't recommend this, in fact, I'm just going to throw it away.

These lippies are absolutely amazing. At only a few dollars, your lips will thank you for making them look that good. They go on super creamy and you can blot, blend or do whatever you need to before they dry completely. It only takes them about 2 minutes to dry but then you're golden. I love these because they're super easy to apply and they also have a little sharpener at the end of them in case your lips are more narrow than the tip of the stick is. 10/10, these are an essential for me.

These were my first elf lip products I have purchased, and I love them. I love the colors on me, I love how easy the product applies on and covers. These last me all day and night to the point where I am scrubbing it off the next day. The packaging of the four was well made. I would definitely buy more lip products from the company in the future, especially when you can buy 4 of them for a great price. Love to use them as a base and liner as well with other lipsticks.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with these lipstick crayons from elf! They are now my go tos , and I have purchased 6 different shades. The formula is smooth, but the crayon is firm enough to help define your lips. The lip color lasts for hours, and doesn't crack or flake like other matte formulas! The packaging itself is also very handy, because it has a sharpener inside the opposite end from the lipstick, making for convenient use! Highly recommend!

Review for: RICH RED more...
e.l.f. is amazing! I got this lipstick in Rich Red at Dollar General, for guess how much... ONE DOLLAR! Its wears a "rich red" just like the name, and looks smooth on your lips. There is no need for a base coat or anything. the lipstick is a fine tip, so no lip liner needed. The color wears, so needs reapplication pretty often, but overall is great. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for some cheap, but quality lipstick.

I really like these matte lip colors from ELF. For $3, you can't really beat that. I have the shades Rich Red, Praline, Tea Rose, and Natural. As far as the packaging, I do find that the product rattles around a bit and gets loose, so it risks falling out or needing to be manually pushed back in. That's not a big deal to me, just an extra annoyance. The formula is kind of dry, but it is a matte product, so I expected as much. It goes on nicely, but if you apply too much it starts to pill up and get clumpy. As far as the shades, Natural is too pale on me and makes me look sickly, and Tea Rose has a purple tint to it so it doesn't really look right when I put it on. I do like Rich Red and Praline, although Praline is a darker brown than I thought it would be. I would overall recommend these, just be careful how you apply them and be weary of your shade selection.

As someone who almost never goes cheap with makeup, the one brand I will buy is elf. I picked this up in a hurry, I was late to an event, had forgotten my lipstick, so I stopped to buy something cheap for the night...and I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn’t have good staying power but with the beautiful color and balmy texture, you end up with hydrated, beautiful red lips. It was worth it and it’s still one of my go to reds!

Is this worth it?? They look beautiful and I'm always looking for nice matte lipsticks, but I've never tried ELF for that.

I love all the colors that are offered for this product! Is the pigmentation just as good when applied? How long does it last?
