Review for: Black Out, Bordeaux Beauty more...
I am a huge sucker for black lipsticks, and I have tried a LOT of them. Black Out is the best in the lower price range; the color in one swipe is powerfully pigmented, very deep and opaque. There is no patchiness in application. I personally am a fan of satin-finish lipsticks, because matte ones dry my lips out a lot, and this delivers; it is a little bit on the shiny side and is not transfer-proof, but it is very hydrating and doesn't leave my lips wrecked the way a lot of other lipsticks do.

The line in general does vary a bit in quality. For whatever reason, Bordeaux Beauty applies a little more see-through, and it takes more building to get more color. I may just have a bad batch, because other people I know who have this lipstick have not had the same problem, but others have agreed that the colors vary in application. Definitely play with them if you can before ordering or buying.

Ladies, do you want a perfect black lipstick?... this lipstick is absolutely stunning. I had bought the color “Black out” vampy set they had and it’s totally worth it. Let me just say that this is the most creamy, opaque black lipstick I ever own. It’s absolutely moisturizing and just one swipe the color is there. Definitely not patchy and one swipe as you see in the picture. I own the Maybelline black “loaded bold” lipstick and that one was super patchy and not pigmented. I have to get my hands more on these lipsticks. I am very impressed and for $6 for the set I highly suggest you buy before it’s sold out.

Review for: Ravishing Rose more...
Pro: Affordable, moisturizing, easy to apply
Con: The top flattens out.

The only thing that bugs me is that the shape of the lipstick began to flatten making it slightly challenging to follow the shape of my lips.

Now on to the good stuff.
Just like it claims, it is very moisturizing and easy to apply. I put at least two coats to give the full impact of color. What's cool about this lipstick is the bottom piece of the tube actually pops out so you kind of have extra product. Almost in a lip balm form and have to be applied with your finger.

Review for: Wine Tour more...
For only $3, this lipstick is a major steal!!  I have to remember to wipe it off before eating because it has a tendency to get patchy.  While it's not transfer proof, the color is long lasting.  It is very pigmented upon the first swipe and doesn't feather.  My lips did not feel dry or cracked with this lipstick.  I wouldn't call it a dupe for  Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick but it's almost as hydrating.  I selected the color Wine Tour.  It's a berry shade with a finish that is slightly lighter than it appears in the tube.

Review for: Razzle Dazzle more...
I haven’t worn this for a full day yet, so I can’t vouch for its staying power. I just wanted to let people know that “razzle dazzle red” is definitely a deep pink rather than a true red. And it’s glittery. Thought it might be fun for the holidays when I found it at the Dollar Tree last week, but I wish the shade was a bit redder and the formula a little creamier. Overall it’s definitely worth a buck even though it’s not something I’d wear everyday.

Elf is so underrated. This lipstick is just as good as any brand I've ever bought from sephora. I think it's great that the brand has a such a large selection of permanent colors accross all finishes so that if you like a light-brown, for example, you can find one in a sheer finish, an opaque but shiny finish, or a matte finish. I also like the sleek packaging and the light vanilla scent to all their lippies.

Review for: Ravishing Rose, Party in the Buff more...
I find that e.l.f. cosmetics are really hit or miss. When I saw this lippy formula at a really decent price, I decided to try them out. They are creamy and highly pigmented. The down fall is that they are no where near stay-put or long-lasting. I will definitely use the two shades I bought until they are gone but I do not think I will buy this formula again in the future.

Review for: Black Out more...
I was nervous to try a black lipstick because I have a very pale skin color. Ive always liked e.l.f and this was on clearance for 2 dollars at Target so I decided to get it I actually love it ! I feel confident in this color and it doesn't dry my lips. I would recommend carrying the lipstick with you because you need to reapply after eating or drinking

I had really high hopes for this one! It lives up to the name and felt pretty comfortable on the lips and applications was extremely smooth, however it doesn’t take much to break the lipstick. Slight pressure may tilt it and cause it to break away from the lipstick bullet so be careful applying. There is also a hidden pot of lipstick on the bottom of the tube for finger or lip brush application! I loved that little surprise!

I ordered the brown shade from their website. It’s absolutely amazing! I wanted a more natural lipstick (I only had pinks, reds and purples) and this is so perfect. It’s super lightweight, I didn’t have to worry about reapplying constantly. Maybe one touch up after lunch. And it’s super moisturizing. I’m definitely trying the other colors.
