e.l.f. Cosmetics Mineral Eyeshadow Primer
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this primer at all. My personal experience with it was not too great, maybe other people might have better experiences to share. I have dark skin so I was hoping that this primer would help eyeshadow stand out on my skin, and it didn't. My eyeshadow ended up just looking white and unappealing. Also, it doesn't really help my eyeshadow to last longer at all. Actually, I've found that using concealer on my lid helps better than this product. Disclaimer: maybe its just not best for my skin type, maybe it might work better on others. It didn't feel uncomfortable or heavy or anything like that so that was definitely a plus.
This gives moderate coverage of the darker skin tone my lids have while providing an awesome base for eyeshadows to stay put al lady long. I've used this product religiously and repurchased two more times because it has been such a staple in my makeup collection! Even days I don't wear eyeshadows, this is on my lids to help brighten and even out the skin there and help this tired momma appear a little more awake.
I bought this in the Natural color because I heard that the sheer version isn't really sheer. It was my first time using an eyeshadow primer, but since it was cheap, I decided to buy it to hopefully make my liquid eyeliner stay on longer. It accomplished that goal. It felt a little sticky on my eyes, but I don't know if that's a bad thing. When I used it with eyeshadow, my shadow still didn't hold well. I eventually realized that my hooded eyes were the problem- go figure! Regardless, I like this product to make my eyeliner last longer.
I had such high hopes for this primer but it did not deliver for me. Within an hour, I could see my eyeshadow creasing and by the end of the day it was a faint memory. I tried this primer with powder and cream shadows but the results were virtually the same. The powder shadow did last a bit longer.
This is not my favorite eyeshadow primer from the drugstore. I think just doesn't work. I would rather use Wet n' Wild Fergie or even the original from Wet n' Wild if I wanted to cheap. Or even Milani. Either of these choices is better than this one. I wouldn't recommend this product. It creases on me everytime I used it. I wouldn't buy again!
E.l.f Eyeshadow Primer Is Literally The Best Eyeshadow Primer Ive Ever Used & Better Yet.. Its Only $1!! Can't Beat That Price With The Quality It Comes In. It Literally Locks In My Eyeshadow & Makes It More Pigmented All Day. Although I Does Come With Very Little Product.. Unfortunately!
Q & A
How is this eyeshadow primer? any good?
I was wondering if anyone had tried this product and found success by long lasting eye shadow? My problem is that my eyeshadow always wears off within a few hours of wearing. I have tried many different eye shadows, even really high end products that ended up being a waste of my money. If not this one, Can any one refer me to a relatively cheap in cost eyeshadow primer, thank you!
Is this good recommend product for primer makeup use ????
These look so cool! How is the pigmentation?
What exactly does primer do, and is it worth it to buy?
