e.l.f. Cosmetics High Definition Powder
This powder does a pretty good job of setting makeup as well as absorbing excess oil later in the day but it isn’t as light coverage wise as I would expect it can be very white if not blended a lot. It does work well enough for its price point and not being a high end brand.
Purchased at: Walmart
It gets the job done on a budget but the texture is not consistent throughout so you might get bigger chunks of powder that end up on ur face and it can leave a bit of an ashy effect on your skin if you bake for too long or do not completely dust off all of the extra powder.
I was given this product by a friend who had purchased this and ended up not being a huge fan. & I wasn't either. The main thing I didn't like was how this powder kind of sticks to your face & makes it feel weird. Don't really know how to explain that well, but I'll definitely stick to nyx on this one. Lol.
The only problem I have is there can be a SLIGHT flash back, so i wouldn’t recommend this for someone who is constantly in the spotlight. This has a matte finish which I love about it. So, while I WOULD recommend this product, it probably would be great for a celebrity or a big youtuber.
Do not bother. I decided to try it because I was using NYX but am always looking for something a little softer + more blotting because I'm oily + wear my makeup for stage which is sweaty. This was basically like putting gritty chalk on my face. It stuck to certain areas, left me white + patchy + didn't do its job. I had no idea powder could be this bad.
I absolutely love, love, love this powder. It’s easy to blend, doesn’t affect the color of my foundation and it’s great for baking (your face not a cake!) This is my go-to powder for the great quality and of course the great price (I got mine for three dollars at Walmart!)
This is a good loose setting powder if you’re looking for an inexpensive option. This works well for baking or just setting the face. I think the powder could be a tiny bit more finely milled, but all in all it’s a good powder and I’d definitely repurchase it for the price!
This product was decent for the cost. It did not leave flashback and it was super easy to work with. Other than the smell, I was impressed by this product. It did keep my makeup in place all day and I was also impressed by that. I will definitely buy this product again.
Review for: e.l.f. High Definition Powder Hint of Tint, 0.28 Ounce more...
Did not like this product. My skin was very sensitive to this product. Tried using it 3 times and it burned my eyes and skin! Easy to apply but it is also very messy. When I set my concealer with is, the concealer moved around and came off with the powder. do not recommend.
Q & A
Whats is this used for?
Does this make your foundation lighter or is it translusant
Does the product create a weird look on camera?
How much can I expect to pay for this? I know prices vary, though an average would be nice. It has good reviews, and I have known the elf brand to be quite cost effective.
Where can i buy it?
