e.l.f. Cosmetics High Definition Powder
I didn't care for this powder for all-over, every-day use for myself as I have dry skin and it magnified the appearance of it, but I do use it on-the-go for touch-ups and for that, it's good. It gives a matte finish and controls shine, and sets things in place at least for a while. Good for the price, just not my preferred powder overall.
Great for baking kept makeup in face. Made my makeup look flawless and it was supper easy to use. Elf is one of my favorite brand and I have loved everyone of their products and this one is no different. And since it is drugstore it is super affordable but don’t let that make you think any less of the quality of the product.
The quality and the price of this powder is hard to beat! The powder does a fantastic job to bake my face, is easy to wipe away, and really does brighten up your face with a minimum amount of product. My recommendation would be to use your own power brush or a dry beauty sponge because this powder is messy. The sheer color is white as snow and can mess up any piece of dark clothing you have on. The powder puff it comes with is cute but will get the product EVERYWHERE. You also have to be careful when you're closing the container, you will always have product spilling out of every corner and getting on everything. If you can get over the mess, it's actually not that bad.
Review for: Soft Luminance more...
I was using the “sheer” version of this but found it left my face with a white sheen even after setting spray. The “soft luminance” version is 1000x better though - it has a very very slight sheen (not sparkly) and doesn’t look white at all. A little bit goes a long way, and I can use it to help set my foundation or on its own.
I like the texture of this product because of how finely milled it is, however it did leace a tiny bit of a white cast to my medium complexion and it did show up on flash photos with my phone. It isn't the worst white "translucent" powder I have used but it also isn't the best. Although, at $6 it is a steal and totally worth it!
This is one of my favorite HD powders for the price. It's perfect for baking your face and doesn't leave a white cast upon the skin. It's very finely milled and feels nice and lightweight. It plays well with brushes or sponges for application. It comes with a twist close top which I appreciate too, along with a nice powder puff.
This powder does keep your makeup locked in and also makes pores appear smaller. But it gives a bit of a white tint and has major flashback. Would be better if it was a skin color. There’s an illuminating one but it has a lot of glitter in it. There’s really no ELF alternatives for this product, a different brand must be used.
I absolutely love this product! I’ve used this to bake my face to set my foundation. It has a soft matte finish and doesn’t make my face look caked up or have flashbacks when I take photos. I have combination skin, and it’s perfect for all the areas of my face. I would highly recommend the e.l.f. Cosmetics High Definition Powder!
Okay so I have to admit when I bought this I was really unsure about it and the price kinda made me freak a little too I mean $6 and you don't what it is how its going to look on your skin how its going to settle or if your allergic to it,so risking it bc the package really doesn't say much about the product at all in fact it left me with more questions after I read it. But I do have to say in the end that was the best damn #6 I have spent, its light weight it doesn't leave ur face looking pale it blends amazingly and smooths out any fine lines you have and when you take pictures I'm telling you it becomes your best friend it makes you look like you have flawless skin its amazing. Your just have to try it yourself
Purchased at: Walmart
This is a perfect drug store buy. For under $5 and it works like a charm. No flashback during photos and perfect to set your face. Long lasting too. I never seem to have an issue with needing more than very minor touch ups to my makeup through the day.
Q & A
Whats is this used for?
Does this make your foundation lighter or is it translusant
Does the product create a weird look on camera?
How much can I expect to pay for this? I know prices vary, though an average would be nice. It has good reviews, and I have known the elf brand to be quite cost effective.
Where can i buy it?
