e.l.f. Cosmetics High Definition Powder
I like this product but i have better HD powders that do a great job, it is good for oily skin and really smooths out your face but it has flash back i don’t know if it is only on me but i would absolutely recommend it to people who are not going to be having photos taken
When it comes to powders I usually go sheer to prevent ashiness. I really loved to use this powder on top of bb cream to set it and foudn that it didnt adhere to any dry patches or give me an ashy look considering the lack of color. it is finely mild and blends easily but the product's packaging tends to cause spillage of the powder alot so it tends to be quite a waste in that aspect. Better packaging would make me want to repurchase this but for now no!
I think I can start this review saying that I love this powder and it gives a beautiful matte finish. It keeps my makeup together quite well and there is no struggle applying it. I would definitely recommend and hope E.L.F. comes out with an even bigger version of this.
I typically don’t like to use powder as I find my cheeks and nose tend to “eat” powder makeup. This product however seems to stay put when I use it regardless of my oily t zone! It is extremely fine and leaves your face feeling ridiculously soft. My only concern is that I found it left a bit of a white glow and washes me out. I’m already very pale so it’s not hugely noticeable on me, but I imagine it would be an issue for someone with a darker complexion.
Review for: Soft Luminance, Sheer more...
I’ve tried two shades (soft luminance & sheer) and was actually really pleased with both of them. I use the sheer powder for an all over dust over the face & it takes away any shine. My only complaint is that it doesn’t set under eye concealer very well, I found I still had a lot of creasing. I actually really like the shade soft luminance as a subtle highlight. When I bought it I didn’t realize I bought that shade so I messed around with it to see how I could use it. Don’t recommend using it as a face powder, but always looks really nice on my cheekbones or as a nose highlight when I’m going for something more natural & subtle
This product is okay. The price is really good and the quantity too. It is easy to apply with the tool included in the package. I like that it is available in yellow to correct redness and pink undertone and it give a matte appearance on skin which is cool too! The only thing is that it doesn't stay on skin a really long time and if you put too much of the stuff on your face, the powder become visible and it is not the result we want!
This powder is good for people with oily skin in combination all still found it worked great on me it sets with out leaving your face looking white, but be careful with flash photography is can bring back a white streak
Q & A
Whats is this used for?
Does this make your foundation lighter or is it translusant
Does the product create a weird look on camera?
How much can I expect to pay for this? I know prices vary, though an average would be nice. It has good reviews, and I have known the elf brand to be quite cost effective.
Where can i buy it?
