Description

This highlighter creates a radiant glow with a sheer wash of shimmering color. Infused with Vitamin E and hydrating jojoba, rose hip, sunflower, apricot, and grape oils to nourish your skin. The highlighter can be applied wet for a vibrant effect or dry for sheer pigmentation.

How To Use:

Use a brush or fingers to remove the top protective layer before use. Using the highlighting brush, sweep the highlighter onto the cheekbones, brow bone, inner eye corners, and Cupid’s bow to brighten the face.

I got Moonlight Pearls and Blush Gems because Walmart had 50% off on tons of makeup, so I just went for it. A friend who went shopping with me warned me about "the top layer" before I bought it, so it wasn't really an issue for me. I just took the "wrong" end of my tweezers and scraped the top layer off before I used them. It makes such a difference when it comes to glow and intensity. It will be dull if you don't take the extra time to get deeper into the highlight. It's an otherwise beautiful highlight. With my light-more-medium skintone, I use Blush Gems as an everyday highlight and Moonlight Pearls when I want to step it up a small notch. If I use a heavy hand, Moonlight Pearls gets a little too glittery for me. Definitely not a dealbreaker. These baked highighters are great products, especially if you're not looking to spend too much!

For brown skin, this highlighter may or may not be the right color, depending on your exact shade, but my skin goes through various shades throughout the year, so I keep it on hand for winter use. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite, but it gets the job done, and I like that it’s a single color, which is easy to take in my travel makeup bag, as opposed to other palettes. You do have to scrape off the top layer before you use it for the first time, but after you do, it packs on pretty nicely on the brush. Personally, it makes my pores look pretty big, so I have to use a primer underneath my makeup, but if that’s not an issue for you, it’ll probably be a cheap alternative to whatever you normally use. Overall not bad, and for the price, worth a try.

I have mixed emotions about this highlighter. You have to scrape off the first layer to get to the product, so don't think it's a flop the second you open it. When you first apply it, it is STUNNING, it is super blinding! I was amazed at how great it looked for only like $3! The downfall is that it does not last long at all. Anytime I wear this I set it with my All Nighter Spray because I know it won't last long (That spray can hold your makeup through anything) and by the end of the day my highlight is still gone. I wish it lasted longer since it's so pretty but I can't really complain based on the price range. I wouldn't recommend it for long wearing events but if you are going out for just a dinner or something short it is a great option!

This baked highlighter is so underrated, for real. It retails at ONLY $4 dollars but works as a high end product. The formula is nice an creamy but most importantly it is highly pigmented, with a sheer to full coverage, so it fits everyone's needs and likes. To really achieve the glow, you just have to remove the thin protective layer that all baked products have/should have. The Apricot Glow color is so pretty, like a Golden coral pink and looks absolutely gorgeous.

HOLY F!!!!!!! I am shook!!! Lmao. I have heard of these highlighters because everyone has hyped them up but I never went and made the purchase because I usually just stick to high end makeup. LET ME JUST SAY I WILL NEVER DISRESPECT ELF EVER AGAIN 😍😍😍👏🏼 I will be purchasing other shades tomorrow because these are amazing!!! As said by everyone else you need to scrape the top layer off but once you do that it’s perfect!!! Blush gems is such a gorgeous shade! It’s an exact dupe for macs soft & gentle highlighter! It’s so beautiful on the skin and does not emphasize any texture for me. Couldn’t say enough good things about these babies!!!!! I can’t put it down

This I highlight is beautiful! I first heard about it from Rachhloves on Youtube and so I bought it and it is exactly what she said it would be. It is a wet looking highlight without chunky glitter and it glides on the skin and blends out beautifully. The only reason I am giving this product 4 stars out of 5 is because when you first open the product, you have to scrap off some of the top of the product in order for you to get some pigment. Over all I think it is a great product for the price!

I bought this product to travel with, I didn't want to pack my Jeffree Star highlighters and have them break, so I figured this was tiny and would do the job. I had read online there's a weird filmy texture on the top and it wouldn't work too well unless scraped off. This is absolutely true. I tested it before scraping the top off and it was barely visible. I scratched the top surface off and then went to use it and it gave an awesome glow. This is my go-to when I need a highlighter in a pinch and want to throw it in my purse or bring it somewhere. It's small, but you get a decent amount of product, it works very well, but you do have to take the top layer off.

I'm one of those people who bought this product because of the popularity of it when it first came out of the market, then got dissappointed when I couldn't even get it to work because I didn't know that I have to scrape the top off before I use it for the first time. When I got that done, I'm so glad i did not give up on it because the shine✨ that e.l.f. Cosmetics Baked Highlighter gives will make your day even brighter!! This product is easy to use, lasts long, and with the price, it's good to use everyday.

Oh my GOODNESS! This highlighter is stunning! It glistens on the skin without being too glittery and melts into your cheeks! The only problem is that it grows a weird film over the top of it, and I found I wasn’t getting any pigment when I first got it. I tried to scrape the top layer of the highlighter off with a card and BEHOLD, it worked perfectly! If you do end up getting this, I heard this was a problem for a lot of people, but at that price point I am definitely not complaining. They have so many beautiful shades and an insanely fair price point. I recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing highlighter for an extremely low price!

Of course like everyone sayd, you have to take off the first layer before getting much pigmentation. But, once doing so it is still a beautiful natural highlight. Its not one of my go to natural highlighters, but if I know i'm going somewhere and i'm worried about one of my products breaking I bring this one with. Its a little but chalky to me, but not enough to male me hate the product. Its also a little difficult to really get the product on the brush so normally I dampen my brush a little to get some product. Of course for the price its not going to be blinding, but its definitely a natural highlighter!!!
