Purchased at: Kohl's
I was in a Kohl's Cash campaign with Influenster recently where I was able to pick any product I wanted with the Kohl's cash I received. This was one of the products I chose: the e.l.f. contour palette. I have tried quite a few drugstore contour palettes, powders, bronzers.. I wasn't expecting much from this one since my skin tone is hard to match. I did a lot of research on Influenster and YouTube before purchasing, and this product was in my top two contouring palettes to choose from. E.l.f. actually surprised me. With a light hand it was easy to blend and look natural. It's hard for me to find products that look nice on me because I have a mixed skin tone, very neutral (unless I have blemishes which can range from red to purple/brown) I typically have to mix colors to get the shade I want, and I'm still not satisfied so I tend to opt out of heavy coverage. I love this contour palette. I found a purpose for every shade. I prefer powders for my combination sometimes oily skin. I can use this pallet for concealer, foundation, overall warmth/glow, and the darker tone for contouring lines. I was worried about the glitter in the palette, as I prefer matte tones but this wasn't an issue at all. It gave a natural dewy glow. I definitely recommend this product to anyone starting out with contouring or who might be having issues finding the right color. It's a wonderful neutral palette. Worked great with the tarte shape tape without looking cakey. Loved the e.l.f. liner I used/purchased with this campaign as well. Great products. Added bonus- no eye sensitivities (liner) or blemishes caused from the palette. Win in my book for blemish prone skin.

I decided to try this palette out since it was affordable and had really nice shades. And No shade but this palette is really bad, in my opinion. It is very powdery when you pick up with a brush, just too much fallout. It is not pigmented as I’d like, you kinda have to work with it to build up the color but also once you apply it’s patchy and difficult to blend out so it looks muddy. Other than that I think that the packaging of this product is amazing, I truly like the way the packaging is but I think elf should definitely change the formula of these shades and make them better.
This contour is very buildable, but it easy for it to look muddy on my face. I really only use the bottom two shades. When I apply the top two shades I don't see them on my skin at all. This packaging is amazing though. I love how I comes with a mirror. The only thing I wish was that the name of the pallette was on the front because they all look the same! I own multiple variations of these pallettes and I have to look on the back of them to figure out which one is which.
This used to be my go to product to do my contour. I hate that the product is small, but I will say that it’s worth the price. I would stick with this all the time if it were bigger. I noticed I use the brown shades more than the lighter shades.
This is my favorite drugstore contour palette. I can’t get enough of the results (especially for the price). It contains vitamin E so it isn’t drying at all and melts into my skin giving it a smooth and even appearance. Due to the color options I’m able to use it in both summer and winter when the color of my skin is completely different. It is also buildable so I can achieve a natural or dramatic looked depending on what I’m going for. It’s lightweight and blends effortlessly. I really appreciate how forgiving it is. If I use too much on my brush I am able to blend vs completely starting over. The light/medium ended up matching my skin perfectly. I love using my sculpting and highlighting brushes for a perfectly contoured look! I would definitely recommend this palette it’s easy to use and does a beautiful job.
I researched an inexpensive contour palette to experiment with in my makeup routine. This palette got rave reviews online so I tried it. It costs $6 at Target, I think, so it was worth the price to try. I think it’s an easy way to step up your make up game or to try contouring without breaking your budget.
This was my first contour palette when I first learning about contouring. Every single time I'd apply it it looked patchy and like I just had dirt on my face. I thought I was applying it wrong and just couldn't get the hang of it. Then I tried another brand and it looked fine. This didn't work for me.
The contour shades work well and are just the right amount of warm so you don’t look muddy. The lightest matte shade doesn’t quite have a use for me but someone who is very fair could use it to blend out some of the contour shades to something more subtle. Also, the highlight works just fine but is a bit powdery for my taste.
I have been endlessly searching for a good contour palette or stick that works great but doesn't break the bank. And trust me I've tried quite a few...so far this is the winner. It blends well, the colors give the perfect glow and aren't on sparkle overload like so many others I've tried.

I do not use top left color because I have other highlighters I prefer but the rest are amazing! Have been using the contour for a very long time and recently decided to try out the bronzer, contour, and under eye highlight. Use all of them almost everyday and all blend out amazingly!
