Electronic Arts Mirror's Edge: Catalyst (PC Game)

The visuals are stunning, the parkour is super fun, and the story is pretty good. These were all vast improvements over the original game (which is one of my favorite games of all time, by the way), and although Catalyst wasn't perfect, this game still blew me away.
I wish they'd done a bit more with the open-world aspect of the game, and there really wasn't much side content once you finish the main story-line, which is disappointing. I also had a bit of trouble connecting to the story, emotionally, mainly due to spotty voice acting from the main characters, and it was predictable at times.
Despite all of this, Catalyst is crazy fun to play. The movement is smooth and engaging, the scenery is so beautiful that I'd often have to stop and admire my environment, and most importantly, this game sets up a world brimming with possibilities for future Mirror's Edge content. It introduced several new, interesting characters that Faith interacts with, though I wish they'd given these characters a bit more time to shine.
Overall, I really, really enjoyed this game. I have a hard time deciding whether or not I like it more than the original, though it helps to realize that they're completely different games, especially since Catalyst is a reboot, not a sequel. If you're on the fence about buying it, wait for it to go on sale; I believe I bought the game for about $5 on sale. It was completely worth the time and money.
