Love these sponges! Soft and gentle for any skin type (I don't have sensitive skin but I've never had a problem). Easy to use and to clean. Makes makeup application smooth and easy. I use this quite often and would recommend if you like to use makeup sponges for application.
This sponge has charcoal infused in it, to keep it more anti-bacterial. The charcoal also allows for the sponge to last longer and all around to just be better for your skin. Which is the part of this sponge i love, besides the fact that it doesn't suck up product!
Here's why it gets 2 stars. Like every sponge i've tried, including this one, it never fully dries! You are supposed to wash your sponge every use or ever other use to avoid acne, and to be sanitary (on clients - every use or prefereably a new sponge for each application.) I'd leave mine out 10 to 15 hours and it still wouldnt fully be dry! So what then happens is it causes mold. I did completely wring out the sponge and didnt leave it in a moist place. It feels dry, but when your sponge breaks, youll notice the inside is damp. Im not about that life. I prefer brushes for this reason. Plus the sponges say they last 3 months.. It doesn't, mine lasted a week before it broke and i was gentle with it! I dont get it..
Works very good ! Blends make up good and picks up loose powder great. Works better when sponge is damp!
Love this charcoal infused blending sponge, it works perfectly & washes & dried easy and quick.
Not bad, but not great either. This is a very rounded sponge, so it's a bit harder to get into the crevices of your face the way my Real Techniques and Beautyblender sponges do. However, this is a good sponge that definitely gets the job done. It blends well, doesn't absorb your makeup (be sure to wet it first - it should grow twice its size when dry before you use it), and is very soft. This is a good affordable option if you're looking for a sponge that works well. However, there are definitely more effective sponges out there, and I probably won't be repurchasing this one once I'm done using it unless I'm on a budget and happen to come across another.
This was the first beauty sponge I used and it certainly got the job done. however, if I applied foundation directly onto the flat side of the sponge, it completely soaked it up. I was able to squeeze out the extra product. it applies cream blush and already on face concealer pretty well, though! the product doesn't wash out of the sponge at all, making it feel a tad strange when dry.
I really dig these beauty blenders because the charcoal infusion purifies my pores which is a huge benefit as I use this tool DAILY so it's nice to know they gave it a boost.
They are very durable & I am pretty intense about keeping my sponges clean as my skin is delicate & it may be beautiful today but one tiny imbalance can send me into massive breakouts tomorrow so I use a daily cleanser after every application & I deep clean them at least once a week. Some blenders I have used in the past have crumbled in the first week & I've had some of these babies for 2 months now.
Lastly, I find that the black color serves as a great neutral background for my makeup application. When contouring & highlighting it's important to use a different area of your blender on each different tone & it's easy to keep it straight with this sponge & that helps me avoid a "muddy" finish.
Pricing is on par with average blender costs at $4-6/sponge. Minus 1 star for lack of shape variety.
