This was our first time making a gingerbread house, and I really didnt know what to expect. We thought a kit was the right way to go, so gave this a try. Overall it was good, but the process was much more time consuming. You really need time to let everything set in steps. I would recommend putting the house together the night before you plan to decorate so that the icing has time to really try and set. We didnt do this, and it was an issue. Four of us each made a house and only one made it out the door without falling apart. Overall it was a fun activity and the kit came with plenty of stuff, although we added our own additional decorations and had our own pastry bags and tops which was a huge help.
