I use this to dry my hair. Takes 20 minutes to completely dry my long thick hair. Edge can be turned to give a slight curl, similar to how a straightener works. This gives more body like a blowout so the straight hair has volume but also more body. My hair would normally frizz ouryans this eliminates that. I use a big tooth comb in conjunction with this. Hair stays straight all day!! Just like a blowout but very easy to use on myself. Highly recommend. It's about the same size as the round brush style dryer.

I purchased this and I was so excited for it. I love Drybar tools and I couldn’t wait to add this to my arsenal. Things to note about my hair: I have little longer than shoulder length, fine hair, but a LOT of it. My ponytail is thicker than anticipated for fine hair. That being said, this machine ripped my hair out something fierce. It clamps down far too hard for fine hair. My hair kept getting caught in the bristles and making little hair balls all the way down. Additionally, it took FOREVER. This took so much longer than the Single Shot Blowout Brush and like 5x longer than just blow drying it normally. The photos are after cleaning my hair out of the bristles four other times! I lost so much hair and time using this thing. It’s not worth it if your hair situation matches mine.

Ok first I’d like to mention I have curly hair that’s never taken well to blow drying and I am constantly in a battle of letting my hair go what it wants or risking it looking flat and sad. I bought this not realizing how large it was so that’s on me too. Due to the size I don’t think this is great for short hair. It also made my hair super frizzy before I smoothed it down. It felt difficult to use for my purposes but maybe that’s the problem. I use a flat iron to curl my bangs so that they flow nicely with the rest of my hair. I figured I could do the same with this product and you really can’t. It’s too wide of a plate unless you had incredibly long hair and were looking for loose waves you can’t curl with this. So for what it’s specifically intended for I’m sure it works well but it just didn’t work for why I bought it.
