Drunk Elephant JuJu Bar
- "This is a wonderful product for oily/sensitive skin. The exfoliation is just enough to get rid of dead skin and other impurities, but not abrasive. I offer this to a lot of my clients where I work, and have always gotten great feedback! Drunk elephant makes some awesome products, and if you're reluctant on using something that will break you out, don't be. This will end up being your holy grail to smooth, clear, and beautifully clean skin!" in 14 reviews
I really love this bar. When I first work up a lather in my hands, it has a strange texture that is almost gritty but so fine and integrated with the lather that to describe it as gritty or scrubby doesn't really describe it well at all. The more I lather the soap into my face, the thicker and richer the lather seems to become, so I add a bit more water. It leaves my face feeling really clean - sort of "squeaky clean" but not in a bad or stripped way. While It is advised to use this in the morning, I prefer using it at night to get my skin feeling crazy clean before applying my night time skin care products. And I know that once summer arrives, with its humid weather, I will really enjoy using this to get my face feeling fresh and clean. Also, it is pricy for a bar of soap but I honestly enjoy this brand and it definitely is something try at least once!
I really love this stuff. I take it with me when I'm traveling and it does a good job of giving a deeper clean because it's kind of like a slight exfoliation. I think that this works great for people that have sensitive skin but I would not use it morning and night with sensitive skin maybe once every night or every other night however your skin adjusts to it
The reviews on Sephora is what got me to purchase this but after using it I’m sitting here wondering how these people gave it more than 2 stars. It takes forever for this soap to lather up just enough for me to wash my face. I don’t see any difference in my skin at all it looks the same to me.
This lightly exfoliating skin bar has done wonders for my skin. The texture has improved so much and it leaves my skin feeling so smooth and refreshed. It seems a little pricey but I’ve used it twice a day everyday for the past three or four months and have barely put a dent in it! 10/10!
This is such an effective and gentle exfoliator. I love that it isn’t harsh and my skin feels smooth without feeling dried out after using. I only use every other night in the PM after oil cleansing. My skin has never looked better since transferring over to an almost 100% DE skincare routine!
This is a good soap, but when I first used it I could really feel it exfoliate. Now that I have used it it feels like the exfoliate has been used and like a normal soap cleanser. I would rather use the peke bar and a separate exfoliating product when needed.
I was looking for a more intense exfoliator so i got the duo of this & the facial soap & this is best on the body. I did not see a difference on the face but using this as a body exfoliant is nice but does get used MUCH quicker. Nothing special, wont buy again.
I do love this bar, but I love my Peekee Bar more. This bar has gentle exfoliators in it, and perhaps I have scrubbed to hard with it at times. I feel as though it does sometimes irritate my chin a bit sometimes. It is just very difficult for me to find things that don't irritate my chin too badly.
First off, let me start by saying i absolutely love Drunk Elephant as a brand. The entire line is a dream! I use just about everything except for this bar because I just don't find it practical in the bar form. if it were in a liquid, cream or gel cleanser I would be all about it!
Great! It is pricey but it lasts forever - I’ve been using mine for months and there’s still a ton left! I love the little bit of exfoliator in this bar, it’s just enough. It also doesn’t leave my skin dry and tight like other bars do.
