Description

B-Hydra™ is like a cool glass of water for your thirsty skin. Uniquely formulated with provitamin B and pineapple ceramide, it attracts and holds moisture to leave skin looking healthy and illuminated. Watermelon rind/apple/lentil complex provides up to 24 hours of hydration and significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines. Swertia chirata extract supports the appearance of skin thickness, and bearberry extract naturally brings antioxidant and skin-lightening properties to the formulation. Finally, sodium hyaluronate crosspolymer soaks in easily to provide unsurpassed moisture through the slow delivery of water. It also acts as a powerful antioxidant. This lightweight, hard-hitting gel is ideal for all skin types and maximizes the benefits of a daily moisturizer. Drabness, dryness, uneven texture, and fine lines appear diminished, and skin appears brighter and more youthful upon every application. It is formulated Without: - Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates B-Hydra is formulated with molecular size and pH level in mind to penetrate the skin without disrupting the skin's balance. Drunk Elephant formulations only contain ingredients that benefit skin health and assist the formulation, keeping them safe and making them ideal for even the most sensitive skin. The brand is a supporter of IEF (International Elephant Foundation). Pro tip: vitamins B5 and C work together to deliver a load of benefits, so mix with D.E.'s C-Firma first thing in the morning. It can also be added to Umbra sunscreen for additional sheer luminosity. When combined with with Virgin Marula Oil, it creates an addictive blend that attacks dryness and dehydration from every angle. And don't forget to try mixing with foundation for extra glow and ease of application. You'll be reaching for it multiple times a day.

“This was my best spring discovery! I absolutely love how hydrating it is! My skin gets very dry around spring because of the seasonal changes but this keeps my skin looking soft and beautiful!” in reviews
“A great moisturizer for oily skin!!! If you have dry skin as it's suggested use this before an oil and/or in conjunction with a thicker moisturizer that adds oil (while this adds hydration). It has great ingredients but is as lightweight at the Clinique Dramatically Different Gel. ” in reviews
“...whatever hydrating serum. I was pleasantly surprised. I have very dry and sensitive skin. This hydrated without feeling even slightly greasy. And its silicone free so it doesn't have that weird texture either. It just makes your skin feel like super hydrated skin. This wears so well under makeup. I am falling more in love with this line everyday. ” in reviews

i have the little version of this and have used this for a while now. i bought this along with the cfirma mini set. i had heard it was a good hydrator. but i didn’t think it was as hydrating as i thought it will be, but it was an okay product for that price.

This is an awesome product. I use it right after my toner, and after applying it for 3 mins, it gets deeply absorbed into my skin making it feel smooth instead of tacky feeling unlike other serums that i have tried. Great product for prior to makeup application.

I have been using this for about a month now, I love the gel texture, has a cooling feel almost like aloe but with NO stickiness . I would say if you have really dry skin you might need something more substantial . I'm combo and it has worked great for me, not too much of a scent, maybe like a light cucumber nothing chemical about it, pricey so, not for everyone, I also have a few a rotate so hopefully it will last a little longer, but over-priced in my opinion .

So I have been using this for about 16 days now with 2 day break. I have finished the B hydra serum literally this morning. I was mixing 3 to 4 pumps of B hydra and 1 to 2 pumps of C-Firma daily as morning serum on clean skin with no toner. I’m not a fan of the scent, I know its fragrance free ( I have used a of fragrance free products and didn’t mind the scent). I did experience some texture at the start of using them (not sure if it was the serums or that time of the month) but the texture cleared and I hadn’t experienced anything else. After using the combo for a week, I began to realise my skin was super dry and tight during the day. I have normal to combo skin and I don’t usually experience this unless have used something mattifying in the morning (I usually don’t). At the time, I was also testing out a new SPF and switched to a new moisturiser but I had used the moisturiser before (Beauty Pie Daily Moisture lotion) and it’s not mattifying. The SPF I was using had a power finish and was slightly mattifying but I thought as I have used the B hydra serum my skin shouldn’t feel this dry and this tight. In order to try and find the cause of drying, I did some revisions.I kept using the DE combo and SPF and switched cleansers but there was no change. I then went back to the old cleanser and switched serums (used Superdrug Hydrating serum £3!) kept the same SPF and spent all day in Storm Dennis AND my skin wasn’t as dry or tight was when I was using the DE. The next day, I tried a different serum (Intense concentrate with Inkey List Vitamin C), same SPF ( this actually pilled) and same cleanser spent half the day in Storm Dennis and my skin wasn’t as dry and tight. Then I tried a more hydrating SPF (Nivea SPF 50 moisture lock), same cleanser and the DE combo and whilst my skin wasn’t as dry & tight as the previous week my skin was still feeling dry. The Nivea SPF isn’t new to me and I was using it previously it kept my skin moisturised during the day.I then decided to try their recommendation of using a 1:1 ratio (1 pump each). This wasn’t enough product for my face and I did feel as though I wasn’t using enough. I would use 1:1 ratio for my face and another for my neck. I kept the same ‘matte’ SPF, cleanser and moisturiser. I also tried a 2:1 ratio (2 pumps of B Hydra and 1 C-Firma) these ratios gave me the ‘best results’. My skin felt normal for longer and was only feeling dry and tighter towards the day of the day.rom my revisions it is clear that when I used too much of the serums (more than 2 pumps of each) it left my skin feeling dry and tight. I don’t understand how too much of a hydrating serum can do this or perhaps it was the vitamin c serum? It also dispenses the tiniest amount of product I’m not sure if it’s because I had the sample size of if the full size also dispenses that much product. I didn’t like the scent of the cocktail but I didn’t experience any piling. I am impressed on how long the 8ml serums have lastedI have been using the same power foundation, hydrating primer combo and setting spray, the only new serum was the DE combo. My skin doesn’t look any brighter or more even than it already has. My verdict is I don’t think I experienced any benefits from this. I expected so much more from these serums but it fell short.

I'm 26 with dry/very dry sensitive skin. I recently switched my skincare to mostly Drunk Elephant products (and a few from Paula's Choice). I have seen significant improvement in dry patches and zero irritation.B-Hydra sinks into the skin immediately and has a relatively thin consistency without any stickiness. Until the age of 23 I had pretty much perfect skin: baby soft, even skin tone, very rarely getting a spot. Then it all went downhill, hello adult acne. I've tried sooo many products since then, I think all combined I've spent a fortune - to no end. I was considering getting some proper laser treatments or medication, but then I saw Drunk Elephant was launching in the UK and I thought, one more try, and I ordered the Littles and A-Passioni. "Thankfully" not all products worked for me, otherwise I'd have a VERY expensive skin care routine. But the things that worked, oh my goodness they did WONDERS to my skin. These are the TLC and the B-Hydra serums along with A-Passioni. For the first time in four years I'm once again confident about my complexion. Yes, these products are expensive, but to me they are worth it if it means I have clear, bright and soft skin.I’ve been using an expensive clinic B5 serum for sometime. It’s double the price of this for half the amount of product and does the same thing. If anything this is nicer to use as it leaves a cooling effect.Exactly what is said, a cold glass of water for the face. I first got B-Hydra in the mini set and didn't repurchase the full size for a while, I started to see my skin become less radiant and had to repurchase straight away, such a great product for my dry skin. Can be used on its own but I like to layer my regular moisturiser over the top day and night. If your looking for hydration without saturation then this is ideal

I am so in love with this serum and mix it with the C-Firma Day Serum for my morning routine and with Shiseido’s Ultimune Serum for my night routine(during winter months when I need the extra hydration) and I love the added hydration without the heavy greasy residue!!! As an influencer I try many different serums, gels, creams, etc from many brands but Drunk Elephant’s B Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum has given me a new love! A serum moisturizer?! Still blows my mind in the BEST way! It’s light and refreshing and doesn’t leave my skin sticky, greasy, or icky feeling at all, actually the complete opposite and my skin looks awesome since I started and continue to use it! A little goes a long way as well as your serum you mix with it so it’ll last forever! Just to note...You do not have to mix it with another serum, cream, gel if you don’t want or need to and it works just as great for hydrating your skin! A definite must add to your skincare regimen!! I was happily surprised to see brighter healthier looking skin after the first day and then by the 1st week then 2nd week I was completely sold and will continue to keep this in my skincare Arsenal! I absolutely love the Juice-C Water Smoothie Voxbox I received and am now a happy and proud Drunk Elephant user! I did receive this product complimentary for testing purposes. #drunkinlove

This serum is meant as a hydration boost, not to confound with a moiturizing serum because this isn't what it is at all. The texture is a cooling gel that immediatly penetrates the skin, leaving you to feel as if you haven't put anything on. It isn't supposes to *feel* moiturizing it's suppose to be hydrating. This product is a boost, which means that it's going to boost the hydration of whatever product that you're going to mix or use conjointly with. Don't use this on it's own as a moiturizer, it's not going to give you the results that you want. I loved mixing this with the Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum since it made the c-firma easier to apply and booster the hydration tht it gave to my skin. Or with the Drunk Elephant A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream since the latter product can be a bit harsher on the skin. I woud recommend to anyone. If you have oily skin type this won't accentuate your oliness and yet it will hydrate you. I would purchase the full size. I think the formula is worth the price althought right now I'm testing and loving the The Ordinary. Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 which is definitely more affortable *but* has overall less benefits for your skin.

Drunk Elephant was the first skincare products I tried. I’ve gotten hip since then. I know I’m in the Minority when it comes to Drunk Elephant but yes it’s a good product. Not spectacular. You can find other products that do better for way cheaper. I also don’t like their business practices. They are bullies. One to their influencers. Not allowing them to share their true feelings about products. A YouTuber was removed from the PR list for posting people’s questions and concerns in her video from customers. Two they tell people there is no such thing as different skin types. Which is completely BS. Three they made a fake account to start drama with Gloosier and got busted by accidentally use the Drunk Elephant main Instagram. Four when someone comments to their social media team about having an issue with a product say a break out they tell the commenter it must be something they are using other then their product. Then when the commenters say I’m only using Drunk Elephant they tell them well then you are doing something wrong. They swear their products (because they say there are no such thing as different skin types) can cause no reaction. They tell people to continue using these products because it can’t be THEIR PRODUCTS causing the reaction. That is extremely dangerous. Thankfully I only bought the little set to try it all and didn’t waste hundreds of dollars on their products when there are better out there. Save your money. Try the ordinary.
