These have definitely helped instantly once I tried them on. I had broken my a couple years back and had calcaneus fracture, which deformed my left foot and has no arch and cannot stretch or point my foot all the way to keep me unbalanced. With these, I feel more balanced and less pressure on my heel and can definitely walk much more normally without feeling any pain. I was thinking of buying these or purchase Dr. Scholl's Active series. But I have heard great reviews of the activewear brand and found a site that it was rated number one, and the cf's were rated 3rd. But instead I purchased these instead and they have helped in every area in my foot pain and plan on wearing them around the house with house slippers and with my tennis shoes at work. My foot hasn't completely healed since I feel pain after standing for just a few hours and feel fewer strains and pains in my arch and heel and the balls of my feet. I can actually flex my calves now. I would love to compare them to the active series since I had heard more great reviews about them, but I have yet to try them. I definitely am thinking of trying those as well as a comparison since the active series has padding for the whole foot. But they are quite expensive and never thought I would spend close to another 25 dollars after trying these. I might wait just wait and definitely will try to review those to compare with these in the future. That would be a lot of money spent on inserts in top of these custom inserts costing 50 bucks so I might see how these go just for a bit longer but love to compare the active series with these since the active series support the whole foot where I do suffer paint all the way up under my toes and these end right at the arch. All though, they have been working great, but the only problem is there is no support for the pain I feel at the top of my foot. I haven't run normally in 2 years and I hope this is a solution to where I can maybe try a slight jog, although I wished they supported the whole foot such as the active wears do. I have tried the Dr. Scholls running series but decided to return them and purchase these instead. I did like how they support the whole foot which helped tremendously but they did not have as much of a good arch as much as these do so I may be wary of the active series, but hope to do a comparison one day. Love these and they have helped tremendously for heel and arch pain, but I am slightly disappointed they don't support the front of my foot where I feel pain as well. So I am curious how these would compare to the active series. Which they supported the supported the whole foot like the active series but am wary if the arch and heel cushion would be as good as these. Dr. Scholl's Custom Fit Orthotics
