I have one of these Petmate gravity feeders. Great for INDOOR animals, especially those that can control their eating. My dog only eats once a day, even if food is down all day. If your animal is outside, it OBVIOUSLY is going to attract pests, even raccoons! Even indoors, I would not fill it up. If you have a picky eater, the food will get "stale" and thrown away. Easy to clean and fill since the top lid is the whole width of the feeder.
