Even though it says Dino Lingo is good for ages 1-8, I heard that it's better for ages 2-5. I have a 6 year old 1st grader--would this be a good teaching tool for him? Or should I look into something else?

In most children, ages 0-5 are the prime ages for language learning in terms of brain development. However, this varies slightly in boys and girls, so 6 is still a great age for your son to start learning a language. As a paren't you may want to assess you son's imagination and maturity before deciding whether or not to buy this, since it is a very child-like program. I would say if your son still watches cartoon shows or even Nickelodeon and Disney shows then this would be a great program. If you are still unsure, there is a language learning app on the App Store called "Duolingo." While this is not as interactive and fun, if it works for your child, then you may not need to buy Dino Lingo.
