Dewalt has always been one of the big brands for me. It has quality heavy duty tools that just get the job done. I am particularly impressed with the power it has to offer. I normally don’t do cordless when it comes to circular saws but this one is just ballsy. The only draw back is that the batteries are pricey and they don’t last long. It’s perfect for short task but long term ones not so much. So pick up an extra battery.

For a circular saw powered by a battery, this one does not disappoint. Obviously, if you're using this tool for long term use, you would want something that will plug in. For the types of projects I work on, this is quick and easy to use, especially for quick cuts on trim (not mitered). For quick cuts, it's perfect. Four stars because the plugged in saws are just always a little better.

Dewalt is quality, but for someone who uses a circular saw daily a cordless one is not the answer, for a homeowner yes, but the battery just doesn't last. If your looking for a good circular saw buy a corded porter cable or Milwaukee

This is a good circular saw. The blade replaces pretty easily and has lasted the last few years with no issues. I would definitely recommend this saw for anyone working on their home, it is light weight and durable.

This is under powered and old tech (NiCad)  Does it work?  Well yes, but it struggles.  It is good for quick cuts,or if you don't have access to power, but even then, you are limited to what you can cut.  Granted this is not intended to replace a full sized circular saw but even then this saw has issues.  The weight of the NiCad throws the balance off and makes it a very heavy tool.  Buy the Lithium version.
