DW745 or 745rs is a great job site table saw from a trusted brand. Keep in mind this is a job site saw, so if you’re using it for that, you will be extremely happy. Finer woodworking, however, this may not be the best option for that application. The good: 1. Quick and easy to assemble out of box. 2. Plenty of horsepower. This has not batted an eye at pine, cedar, ash, curly maple, or walnut of up to 2.5 inches thick. 3. Fence is a powerhouse. Much stronger than competing fences, and the rack and pinion system is easy to adjust. 4. Stupendous customer service! I had a gripe and they remedied it promptly with care, concern, and politeness. 5. On the RS model (I’m sure the regular version is too), all the accessories can store right on the machine. The meh: 1. The table. It’s not consistently flat throughout. You won’t notice it right off the bat, but when you go to square it all, you will. It is also small, so any sleds or large stock will be limited. 2. Miter gauge is a joke. It’s like they changed the slot size, or the miter gauge’s slide size, and didn’t update the other. Lots and lots of side-to-side play. It also will not remain square not matter how hard I torque the nut down. I fixed the play with a strip of blue painters tape around the gauge’s bar. 3. Instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired and adjusting the stops on the bevel wheel is a challenge. That will test your patience.

Nice table saw in a portable package! Easy to get to and from the jobsite. It is pretty loud but its able to make precise cuts on demand. I would recommend to anyone who need mobility in their table saw.

We bought the table saw last year to build cabinetry for the bathroom. I wish I bought it sooner. It is easy to operate and adjust to cut different angles. It’s reasonable priced. The only downside to this table saw is my wife thinks I’m a carpenter and always has me doing projects now.
