At $198.00, this is easily the most expensive skincare product I’ve purchased. The 8 in 1 bio serum claims to deliver treatment-like results and is known as “micro needling” in a bottle. Defenage has an extensive product offering page that goes into detail about the 8 distinct serums. The product is a milky-colored serum that is more viscous than lotion. It feels very soothing on the skin. While it’s a nice product, I cannot in all honesty say that I’ve been blown away by the results. I have a multi-step skincare routine and I swap this in for the serum step. When I’m lazy, I use just this product, tretinoin, and face cream. I cannot pinpoint this product for having markedly improved my skin in any meaningful way. It’s supposed to smooth skin, brighten skin tone, calm redness and promote a healthier skin barrier. The combo of all the other products I use already do that and they’re not the sum of the cost for one bottle of the 8 in 1 serum. Even when I use only the serum, I’ve not seen a difference in my skin. The science behind the formula on the website seems very impressive and science-y but if you expect a miracle in a bottle, you will be disappointed.

Best aging serum ever purchased, not oily, no scent, great packaging, top grade ingredients, smooth texture. Used at least 2 weeks before noticeable results.

This is the MVP of anti-aging products. It’s a powerful retinol alternative but doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin at all. It has smoothed the texture of my skin, reduced my pore size and calmed my rosacea. It can also be used in tandem with other serums if you like and it goes on after moisturizer. It’s a luxury product but worth every penny.
