I love getting clothes from Deb , they have such cute clothes. The store in my town closed awhile back , wasn't sure if they did online so i been getting stuff from zumiez and other stores
I have recently visited one at my same town mall. The first experience wasn't too bad. I found a couple cute shirts. The best thing they have there are to undershirts 4 for $20. Multiple colors available. The 2nd and last time I will shop there was horrendous! I found a few dresses I wanted to try on so I went to wait for a dressing room. I was next in line and the sales girl saw me standing there waiting. There were a ton of little girls (middle school) trying on not age appropriate dresses in every room. Anyways a room opened up so I headed toward it and before I could get to it some little girl just ran past me and up to the attendant and she gave her the room I had stood waiting for 10 minutes for. The sales clerk just looked at me and walked away. Lets just say I dropped the clothes where I was standing and walked out. Yeah never going in that store again.
Don't get me wrong, DEB has some pretty CUTE clothes that I own myself, but when it comes to the quality of the material used it's not such great news. As much as I hate to say it, the fabric used almost feels cheap.. =[ Also, the crowdedness of the store is RIDONCULOUS! Seriously people, I want to be able to maneuver around and look at everything you have to offer, but that cannot be accomplished because of the oh so crowdedness. Lighten up on the racks of clothing a little bit, upgrade the fabric, and lower the price (even lower that is) and I think we'll get along great. =]
The store as a whole is really pretty mediocre. The casual clothes are not exactly the style that I am interested in wearing or seeing other people wear, but they do have a lot to offer in terms of dresses around homecoming and springtime. For the most part they're pretty generic and nothing special, but every now and then they'll have some gems like the dress I found for prom back when I was in high school. Since then I've maybe found 2 or 3 things that have really WOWed me, but for the most part I haven't been interested. Their prices are also very reasonable!
The quality wasn't the greatest - it was decent, not too bad but not good either. Prices were affordable but some clothes would be $25 for no reason when it was clear it should've been under $10. They got rid of this store at my local mall but I grew up shopping here because it was affordable. I think it's for plus sizes only now but I did enjoy shopping here. The sales were great and I always bought something everything I was there. If you're looking for something decent and cheap that you're not going to wear all the time, then this was the perfect place!
DEB carries a lot of different types of clothing that can suit most peoples tastes. Although some of the graphic tees can be tacky, the dresses and regular blouses are darling! They also have awesome dresses for prom, homecoming, going clubbing, or whatever occasion you may need a dress for. My only complaint is that some of their clothes fits extremely weird on a lot of people I know who are plus sized. I wear a size 18 in pants and their 'Reign' brand runs EXTREMELY small in the waists, and only seem to increase the size of the legs as you go up a size. Also, I wear a 3X in shirts and am a 42DD. They make the shirts very small in the arms and chest area, not being proportional at all. Other people I know who were XL or 2X have similar problems. A particular shirt I had problem with was a button up rayon shirt by the brand Ambiance (I believe the name was at least) and my friend who usually wears Mediums/Larges tried it on and the sleeves fit her properly, but the body was larger. Thus poses my main concern, non-proportional clothing with certain brands seems to be a common problem at DEB. Other than that, I have no complaints. The prices are good for what you get. :)
I don't shop here on a regular basis because I am not a fan of the quality or design of their clothing. However the last thing I bought here was my junior year high school homecoming dress. I decided to go to the dance last minute and wanted a cheap dress. After wandering around the mall I decided to stop in DEB. I was impressed with the large selection of dresses they have! And even though I am not plus sized, I appreciate that DEB offers plus sized clothing and prom dresses in their store. Anyway, the quality of the dress was nice and I purchased it for a very reasonable price. I would recommend this store for girls looking to be frugal when buying prom/homecoming dresses, but not necessarily for clothing.
This store has been one of my favorite growing up. When you live in a small town there really isn't a wide variety of stores but this one was in our local mall. I feel like there is clothing that could fit many different types of people from younger teenagers to young adults. I love that half of the store is separated into larger sized clothing which a lot of times are cuter than the normal sizes. I think its great their models aren't stick thin like most stores which makes it even more inviting to shop in. I have found everything in that store from prom dresses to bathing suits. They also have a variety of different styles of clothing too which helps to bring everyone together into one store.
The store is pretty hit or miss. If you find something you like and in your size GRAB IT. Or else it will not be there the next time. I love shopping there for formal dresses and jeans (after a pretty harsh inspection on my part for quality) and if a shirt catches my attention in the display window. They're price's are a little more on the up side, but if you sign up for the email thing they have, you do get some pretty good deals and they're always having some kind of sale. The quality also depends on what you're buying, jewelry is poor quality, as are some of their jeans. But I do own a two dresses that I've had for 10 years and they're still intact and I've worn them quite a few times.
I love throwaway fashion, I really do. And when I can get a lot of clothes in a sale and not spend a lot, I love it even more. Forever 21 is probably my favorite store for this. Deb, however, is not worth walking into. Practically every piece of clothing I've purchased has fallen apart immediately. The denim is weak and poor quality, the clothes don't hold up like other brands do, and it's not justifiable to spend so much on a shirt that's only going to unravel and fall apart. I'd skip it.
Q & A
How ofthen do you shop here?
Since the prices are fairly similar to F21, are the materials comparable as well?
Did the DEB where anyone else lives go out of business? or is the mall where I live just bad at keeping stores?
Are Deb stores still around?
What is your favorite piece of clothing from this store? I've never shopped here but have heard that many do.
