Great family game! It does take awhile to play but time does fly. You are on a journey to build a train from city to city. You will get 2 cards that shows you your path. If you can connect those to paths then you get extra points. The tricky part is hoping you don't get blocked and have to go another route. With more players you will find your path gets re routed but it is a lot of fun! Forgot to build your route you will collect cards to match your track it can range from 1-6 cards for each section to build of course higher the number bigger the score. We don't add up our points until the end because your little marker can lose its place on the board. Easier to wait.

This game is fantastic from ages 5-7+ and from the expert board gamers to people who aren't that into them. We refer to it as the "gateway board game". People who play this who are only used to Monopoly, Life, and other classics love it and instantly want to see other more current tabletop games.

It's a little tricky in the beginning with all the rules, but the best way to figure it out is to play. I'm completely obsessed with this game. It's a strategy game for two or more players and it's so much fun! The app is great if you want to try it out before buying the real board game.

This is a fantastic introduction into the new world of hobby board games.

This is a set-collection game where you play sets of cards with matching colors in order to claim train routes across the map. The bigger the route, the more points you score. At the same time, each player has "tickets" or goals that they need to complete by connecting two cities with a train route. Again, the further away the cities, the more points.

This is a very easy to learn game with a lot of strategic depth but is also light enough for the non-gamer type. Highly recommended.

This is a great game for the family - once you play your first game it all makes sense and you keep getting better. You want to collect trains to connect two cities together. You have to pay attention to other players as well so they do no cut you off! I like to call this game a mix between a Monopoly (not nearly as long) and a Risk (since you want some strategy). I strongly recommend getting the expansion pack to have regular sized playing cards and many other city combinations!

My Christmas present. We are a game playing family and have graduated from Life, Monopoly, Uno and into the more modern games. Ticket to Ride is a great strategy game, trying to get your train from point a to point b, trying to get around other players tracks. Everyone has cards telling them the locations they need to get to and it can get tricky. Great game

My brother in law introduced this game to us a few years ago and we've been obsessed ever since! This game is so much fun to play with a group. It involves a lot of strategy and planning but you also have to be on the lookout for what other players are up to. You never know when your routes will cross!

Such a great game, an excellent, easy to explain game that is great for anyone, from the person that didn't know there was more than monopoly, to the advanced board gamers. One of my favorites, and a must for anyone who wants to know more about board games!

This is the new classic board game that has everyone raving about it. Fun for most ages. Fairly easy to learn and play. There are plenty of places to pick this up but usually towards the holiday season on sale via Amazon. Such an amazing game!!!

It is an all ages game! Everyone from my seven year-old nephew to my 70 year old father enjoy the game! My brother-in-law always tries to block people's routes which makes the game even more fun. It is not a short game--it takes an hour or two--but I have never realized how quickly time goes by during game play.

Does the game work with more than 5 people if you purchase more packs of trains?
