I have been doing my own relaxers since I was 15 years old, I am now in my late 30's. I used Affirm for years and my hair got used to it so I switched to Mizani which I have also used for years and my hair got used to it. When I started doing research on what to try next I kept coming across this relaxer. I asked my sister because she does relaxers sometimes, she's a beautician but her clientle are mostly white folks needing a cut or color. So anyway she gave this good reviews too. I went ahead and tried it and was impressed out the gate. I mean you're thinking this is a box relaxer so it can't be good quality. This is the best relaxer I've used on my hair to date and that's no exaggeration. The activator that you mix into the cream is a cream itself. The provide some Keratin in the box and of course their condition which is also exceptionally creamy. My hair has never felt so moisturized. I have thick, coarse hair and I used a super but I don't even think I needed that strength. Next time I'm going to just get a normal. Supposedly a relaxer isn't suppose to get your hair bone straight but this one did. I think the people that are giving this relaxer bad reviews are uneducated about their hair and how to apply a relaxer. First of all if you have really fine hair, I'm not sure why you'd be apply a relaxer to it anyway. Secondly I can't help but wonder if these are the black girls that relax their hair by putting the relaxer on ALL of their hair, instead of just the new growth. I suspect they relaxed their hair, all of their hair, and then are shocked that they are experiencing the effects of over processing.
