Cutex Twist & Scrub Sponge
- "This product works well with regular nail polish, but if you have fake nails or glitter, stick to the acetone based removers instead." in 13 reviews
- "I always have a tub of Cutex nail polish remover and this particular one where you twist your fingers around is the best, it's magical, removes the hardest-to-remove nail polishes and in a jiffy without the mess." in 4 reviews
My mom got this for me because she figured it would last longer than a bottle of nail polish remover. I can’t stand it. It’s weird to me to dip my fingers into the container and twist around to get nail polish off. My entire finger gets drenched and my whole hand smells afterward. Plus I keep thinking about how nasty it is that the germs from my fingers are just sitting in there, plus the ghosts of nail polish past. Gross. Will not buy again. I’m only giving it two stars instead of one because it does actually work.
I used to love this type of nail polish removal , as a Kid and Teenager. My mom never ever bought the bottles , just these little finger inserts - style tubs. I loved them though. I have never purchased this style as an adult , but I think I will try this way again. I do remember , however , that your nail polish would stain & leave colored residue on the internal sponge , however. And I’m not sure how sanitary it is. The little sponge - for toenails I believe - would sort of .... get smashed up and damaged looking , very quickly. And quickly discolored as the nail polish reside built up rather quickly. I imagine there’s many many more Cons to this style of polish removal in comparison to the typical bottles , however - I imagine my mom preferred them for the reason that I couldn’t spill them as easily or make as much a mess , or waste cotton balls / paper towels / etc with this type of packaging. Overall I enjoyed it and definitely am curious to try again ! It got the job done either way , so I guess that’s what’s important ! :)
The cutex twist and scrub sponge nail polish remover seemed like such a great idea to remove my polish. However, after a couple of uses, the sponge inside became covered in polish. In turn, it started transferring the color to my fingers each time I went to use the sponge. The polish itself works great, I just don't like the idea of the sponge. I don't think it's a very sanitary idea. I'd rather use a good old fashioned cotton call with some remover on it, then toss the cotton ball after the fact.
I love the idea off a this product. I can just stick my fingers in there and twist them around and once I take them out the nail polish is gone. There is no messing around with paper towels or cotton pads. The reason I gave it four stars is that I have found that once you use some type of glitter nail polish I feel like every time after that I ALWAYS have some glitter come out on my hands. I can wash or wipe it off but it is a little annoying. But not enough to make me want to use something else.
I use this nail polish remover when I’m feeling lazy. After a few twist of your finger, the nail polish is gone. It works wonders. The one cons is that you can’t use this one your toes without losing product in the process lol. I would highly recommend because it is easy to use and gets the job done quickly.
I absolutely love this product. It takes off polish in two seconds. It is so easy to use. All you have to do it stick your finger it rub it around and then your done. I would definitely recommend if you need a new polish remover. It also doesn’t have that bad of a smell compared to some of the other brands.
I absolutely love this! Dipping and twisting takes the nail polish right off. Occasionally, especially with red or glitter polishes, you will need to use extra. The twister works well but I also like when the sponge style includes a little wand to really help remove from the edges near the cuticle
This bottle made it so convenient to remove nail polish, and I did not have to use cotton balls which I like as well... And it did not take a long time for the polish to come off either. Overall, I like this polish remover and always keep a bottle on my vanity.
Acetone makes my hands really dry but I normally can’t find a polish remover that works very well without acetone, especially for darker polishes like black or navy blue. I love that this actually works and you can use it without tons of cotton balls or paper towels.
Call me old fashioned, but I love love the twist and scrub nail polish remover! It's so convenient and a money saver in the long run from not having to buy cotton balls all of the time. And it can just refill and flip the sponge once its used up.
