COVERGIRL Clean Liquid Makeup
- "this is a nice, inexpensive foundation. it’s medium to full buildable coverage and feels lightweight on the skin. in my experience it stays all day. the only downsides are that there aren’t many shades, need more on both ends of the color spectrum, and the fragrance is really strong. it smells really nice, a floral perfume scent, but it’s quite strong. if you don’t like fragrance, you won’t like this foundation" in 63 reviews

I got this foundation because I can only wear silicone free formulas because silicones break me out and this is one of the only silicone free drugstore foundations. I immediately noticed the horribly strong chemically perfumed scent - you can smell the horrible natural scent and the fragrance they use to try to hide it. The foundation applied a bit patchy and I had to build it up. However, after the first day I noticed my t zone was very congested with small bumps, which is how it can get from essential oils or too heavy of a moisturizer - I assume this was because of the sulfates (!) and fragrance. Also, what are sulfates doing in a foundation?! They are strong detergents and surfactants commonly used in soaps and can be very irritating to the skin. This formula is a hot mess and I gave up on wearing it after a week because my skin was not having it. I have no idea what cosmetic chemist made this stuff but they clearly didn’t know what they were doing or didn’t care if it was irritating - I totally understand why they have a sensitive version (I couldn’t wear that one because it relies on silicones). I would not recommend this to anyone and suggest that anyone using this find something better! Your skin doesn’t need this kind of irritation. I switched to Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation which is very expensive but my skin loves it - no sulfates, dyes, fragrances, essential oils, or drying alcohols.

The first thing I noticed about this foundation is the overpowering chemical smell. The second thing I noticed is that when I use it on top of e.l.f. Poreless Face Primer- Small it burned my skin. It was like a bad chemical reaction. When I use this on my eyelids, it burns. The coverage is pretty amazing for a budget foundation. So, overall if you don't have sensitive skin this is not a bad buy. I would recommend this product if you don't have sensitive skin and cannot afford anything pricey.
This is the "old school" foundation. This is the very first foundation I ever used. It's not a bad product by no means but there's definitely stuff out there that's better, better for your skin, better for the environment, better for the animals.. but its a great foundation to have that's not expensive and can be used as a back up. It's also a great foundation for people just starting to play with makeup. It never dried my face out super bad or made me flake but I am a fan of high end foundations and all the ingredients they use.

I didn't realize how horrendous the shade range is until after I purchased and tried it. Good thing I hate it. lol Way looser in consistency than I like, and streaks when swiped rather than stippled. Does better with a sponge or a sponge after brush. Has an odd makeup smell that almost borders on something else, but it's not strong or irritating. Seemed to settle in my pores, making them more apparent, but didn't emphasize my texture (in fact, it did really well in my worst spots). Medium coverage and somewhat buildable. Resisted powdering: powder seem to sit on top rather than melding and setting it, and it took quite a bit to get rid of the tackiness. Did better with my moisturizer mix: applied better, powdered better, wasn't aware of it. However, the few times I've used it I experienced an initial mild itching. It went away, but I'm not risking a worse reaction with a foundation that needs help to perform well. Definitely not recommended.
This is my go to foundation for every day wear! It has a buildable coverage, the formula is blendable and smooth and the brand offers so many different types! This foundation is available in countless shades to match you skin and can easily be mixed with other shades to achieve the perfect look. Covergirl offers this foundation for dry, oily and normal skin as well as an option with SPF all while being super affordable!
This is definitely their OG classic Foundation. I remember using this way back when I was in Middle School but have since tried it as an adult and was not a fan. It has that old lady makeup smell to it that is very strong and very overpowering. I did not find that at sat well on my face it did not apply very well regardless of the method I chose and the coverage was light if that and was not at all buildable.

On my hunt for a foundation that worked on my skin, I stumbled upon this. As it went on, I was hopeful even with it being a hair too dark, as it applied seemingly well. However, as I wore it for minutes longer, it began to turn orange(with my skin tone being very cool toned) and I could no longer wear it. It may work well on a person with a neutral or warm skin tone.
I think I used to use this foundation back in high school, but I have no recollection of whether it worked for me since I had no clue how to apply makeup then. I decided to give it another try and was not pleased. The foundation pours out very quickly, so it's easy to get way too much product at once. My main issue was that it immediately stung my face! I always moisturize and apply primer before applying foundation and I haven't experienced a product that stung like this in quite some time. Thankfully I was able to bring it back to Walgreens and exchange it, but even after just one use I decided I would never ever repurchase this.
This is my everyday foundation I go through jars of these.. I always have three at a time just because I love how it feels on my skin. I am the shade 155 soft honey and I love love it so much.. its the perfect match to my skin and I feel like everyone should give it a chance
