I love my Cover FX Powder! It controls my oily skin so well. I wore the powder a few times before starting this review so that I could make an accurate review of the product. I have worn the powder in chilly weather, hot weather, and rainy weather as well. The powder helps the foundation and concealer lasts through it all! I also do not need to touch up with powder for 8+ hours. Normally with other powders,  I touch up a few hours later. I do think that this powder controls the oil well with the Cover FX foundation. The powder is translucent and sets the foundation well. The color was perfect for my skin, I am usually a warm pale - medium color. I also noticed they have a wide variety that would work when I am more tan as well. Application was easy and great to bake your makeup with, slightly messy but what loose powder isn't? I like the plastic cover that is attached to cover the powder when not in use; it has a little nub that you can pull to take off the cover which is a problem for me with other powders and that cover. Would recommend to a friend 10/10.

I am loving the Cover FX Perfect Setting Powder. It is comparable to the Laura Mercier loose setting powder but I think I like this one better than Laura Mercier. For one, the color of the powder isn’t white - it’s a cream shade. I prefer my translucent powders on the cream shade side. It’s long wearing and does not crease at all! It really does make your under eyes looking really airbrushed and smooth. It also does help brighten your under eyes as well. I had my make up on for about 9 hrs and it lasts on the whole time. I was really impressed with how good the quality was! This might be an unpopular opinion but I wasn’t a fan of the lid cover. I know it’s meant to cover the holes so they won’t fall out but I preferred it without the lid. I also didn’t like how little you get with the amount that you would have to pay for it. For $35 you get only 0.35 oz compared to Laura Mercier loose setting powder which is $38 for 1oz. Something to think about but I would recommend this product. I’ve been reaching for it more than I have been my Laura Mercier. I received this product complimentary for sampling purposes but all opinions are my own.

I do not understand why so many people like this powder.  It made my under-eyes look horrible, regardless of what concealer I used, eye cream underneath, primer, using a brush or sponge, it was all a disaster.  I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt by using it all over the face instead.  Even worse.  Cakey and settled into lines I didn't know I had.  I barely used any!  I don't get what I am doing wrong.  This powder is extremely similar to Aesthetica's loose setting powder (it also has no talc) and I find that powder really difficult to use as well.  I have dry combo skin right now, and while it didn't dry out my face, it just ruined my makeup completely every time I used it.  I tried it with different foundations, different setting just simply would not work for me.  Disappointing because it seems to work great for everyone else!

This setting powder is a great lightweight, finely milled powder that I found was best used for setting my entire face and locking my more emollient foundations in place and preventing them from sliding around.

It definitely helped the lasting power of my slicker foundations (like my holy grail stick foundation - you know the one that comes in the triangular tube!) but when used to set my under-eye concealer, I found the texture of the powder just too drying. It would tend to emphasize the fine lines and creases of my undereyes, which are probably the driest areas of my oily-combination face. It made my face look cakey when used to set underneath my eyes, so I didn't enjoy this powder in that sense, but when lightly dusted around my face everywhere else, it was fine and didn't make my face look ashy at all, even in 4K pictures and natural light.

I don't have any experience with this product under flash photography, however, and am rarely ever photographed under those conditions so I can't attest to its performance in that arena.

I don't like how messy the packaging is - when you open the sifter top, a lot of the product is already built up in the package even when you first purchase it so getting powder in the air is almost unavoidable. The amount of product you get is absolutely insane and how anyone will ever be able to use this all up is crazy unless they're baking with TONS of it every day.

All in all, it controls my oil well, and prolongs the wear of my foundation but doesn't do so as well as my HG compact powder I have in the chunky pink case made by that Celebrity brand because that stuff goes on flawlessly with even a thin veil and never makes me appear cakey or dried out. I received this complimentary for consideration but all opinions are my own.

Review for: Perfect Setting Powder Travel Size - Light more...
i really like this powder but ONLY for setting / baking my under eye concealer. it doesnt cake up or look dry, it just sinks right into my concealer (currently too faced born this way concealer). i have combo skin and am mid-forties so i don’t have the most elasticity in my under eye skin, but i don’t really have any undereye issues and mine aren’t dry. i do prep with eye cream, a touch of smoothing primer and the becca under eye brightener before going in with concealer and then this powder. i started out just trying the mini size of this and am curious how the illuminating version performs.

i dont love it for setting my face ... i felt like i looked a little dusty.

This is such a great loose setting powder!! It does not make my skin look too powdery or dry but still does a phenomenal job or setting my foundation and concealer. It is truly invisible (and perfect) in my opinion! Not too matte or drying like some others I have tried but not illuminating or gloss at all. Just a great natural finish and it lasts a long time! I also REALLY Really appreciate the fact that there is an attached sifter built into the top. One of my biggest pet peeves is when loose powder gets all over the top of the container and lid and this solves the problem! My absolute favorite!!

I picked this up during the Ulta 21 Days OG Beauty last year and actually finished it! I’ve never finished a full size setting powder before. That being said, there is less product in this than a lot of other high end powders. For example, the Laura Mercier translucent setting powder is 1 oz for $38, and this product is only 0.35 oz for $35. So the value for money is not there. If this had as much product as the Laura Mercier, you would spend about $100, and in my opinion the Laura Mercier is a far more superior powder. This one did the job, and I liked it okay, but I never loved it.

This product is pricey, but a little goes a long way! I have combination skin, and it keeps my oily T-zone in check all day by barely using any product. I like using it to set my under eyes, and I don't find it drying at all. I also have not noticed flashback. The packaging is a little annoying in my opinion, since it has an extra covering to keep the powder in place. While this ensures the product doesn't explode all over the place in the container, sometimes it gets messy trying to dump out enough product into the lid to use. Otherwise, great product!

I'm fairly impressed with this powder. I really like it for my undereyes in particular, my poor skin is so combo that i have to be careful with an all over powder but this one sets my concealer nicely and leaves a silky finish. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because I have other powders that I love more. I received this product complimentary for sampling purposes but all opinions are my own.

This is a great product. It has no flashback, which is very important to me. It kept my concealer and foundation in place without settling into any fine lines or looking “crepey”. It wasn’t too heavy either, which I appreciate because my skin can be dry at times and when setting powders are too heavy, they make my under eyes look much more aged than they are which is definitely not something I want! Overall, I have 2 other setting powders that I like better, but this is a good product and I do recommend it if you’re looking for something new to try.

I really want to try this, I use the pressed blotting powder and I love it. How is this for setting? Trying to decide between this and LM translucent setting powder
