Couture Candy doesn't deserve any stars for their out misleading and very out dated business practices. I purchased a dress from them for my nieces wedding and Alex Evenings was the manufacturer. Alex Evenings is a well known brand which many national large retailers carry. After I placed the order they said it would take over 6 weeks to order and ship the dress to me! I found this very odd since again this is a very well known brand and their website said that they had the dress in my size in stock. They said that their staff had to locate my dress which would take 6 weeks! I immediately felt red flags and did want to continue with the sale. I asked for a cancellation of my order which they quickly told me that they "found" the dress and it was shipped out that week! When I received the dress is was in a very different color that was shown on their website. I initiated a return which they had very long and strict instructions about returning it. You had to take a picture of the dress, all the attached labels and an attach it to the outside of the box and then email them a picture of the Fed Ex label. Most online companies have very easy return policies which encourages you to what to shop with them again. Not with Couture Candy! I just received notice that they will not give me a credit for the return item they have received. I don't know any online retailers that don't offer refunds and for this reason alone DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM!

Buyer beware….they take your money any way they can…they do not advise you of all their guidelines for purchases. I asked about their return policy on the telephone, they said 5 days…. Never store credit, restocking fees as well as customer has to pay to ship item back Beware they are very aware of how they lack offering the important information Beware

Please read the fine print! I wish I could give 0 stars. I purchased a Portia and Scarlett dress for an awards show that I received an award at and paid a rush fee to get the dress in time to make alterations if needed. I got an email a week an a half later stating that the color I ordered was out of stock so that I can receive a full cash refund or order a new dress. I decided to order a new dress that was more expensive then the first and was told it would arrive a couple days before my event leaving me no time for alterations. I expressed my concern with length of the dress to the rep and explained that I wouldn’t have time to get it hemmed. I gave her my height of 5’9 and she assured me that I wouldn’t need to get the dress hemmed if I wore it with regular height heels. I asked her if I can return the dress if it didn’t work and she assured me I could. I paid close to $800 for this dress and it ended up being a cheap knock off version of what was pictured. The quality looked more like I paid $100 for the dress. It looked like a costume and I wouldn’t have felt comfortable wearing it anywhere. The dress was also extremely long. Even at 5’9 if I wore 7 inch heels it would need to be hemmed. When I called Couture Candy the rep was no help. The best return option they offered was a cash refund with a 25% restocking fee ($200) + I would need to incur return shipping costs where they required the item to be returned within 5 days of receipt, signature required, and with their suggested courier (another $115) plus a freight and handling fee. They also required pictures of the item front and back with tags and a picture of the package emailed to them with the tracking number. If all of this wasn’t provided they would charge an additional 25% on top of the 25% restocking fee or return the item to you. DO NOT I repeat DO NOT shop with this company and please read the fine print. Please pick a more reliable company like Saks, Neiman Marcus, Dillards or Macys that has a reasonable and more fair and flexible return policy. I ended up wearing a beautiful Zhivago dress I purchased from Saks but ended up out $300 with Couture Candy.
