This was my savior when we travel overseas. However, my hair iron's fuse blew and it was on the correct setting. I have now invested in an European hair iron.

It supposed to work with both low and high watts, it worked fine in low mode. But when I tried it with hair dryer, the red light started to switch between the low and the high mode very fast then it burnt down. By the way the hair dryer was only 700 watts

This is definitely a must have, especially if your traveling overseas. I wish I would've got one when I went to Italy.
