Product Description

Highlighter This long-wearing crème powder cheek formula is the BFF of our famous Super Shock Shadows; it shares the same unique texture that is extremely buildable and blends smoothly to leave the cheeks looking healthy.

Application Tips

Fingertip application will provide the highest amount of coverage, and for a more sheer look we suggest using a flat synthetic cheek/foundation brush or a duo fiber brush. A flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more air brushed effect. Colour builds from natural to intense, build to your heart’s desire!

These highlighters are really good and I love that they have a creamy feel to them. They’re perfect to apply with your index and middle finger or a beauty blender. (I don’t feel like they work as well with a brush) I did take one star off for 2 reasons. The first being that you HAVE to remember to put the lid back on, and put it on nice and tight because it will lose its consistency very easily if not sealed correctly. Secondly, and most importantly, these do crack easily. The first time it happened I had one in my makeup bag in my purse so I just figured it was inevitable, but it’s happened again with one that just sits on my makeup stand and has never been dropped or anything like that. The reason I still kept this review at 4 stars is because these highlighters really are beautiful plus you get ALOT for what you pay, so if one does crack, it doesn’t break the bank to replace it. As a matter of fact, my cracked one is still usable so I didn’t even have to replace it. One other thing worth mentioning is that a lot of their highlighters have shimmer in them so just make sure you read the description on the website very well because it does tell you. Overall, I do recommend these! You really can’t go wrong, especially with the price!

My favorite highlighter of all time! My personal favorite is Hippo, which is an icy lilac that looks beautiful on my fair skin tone. I also have the shade Honeymoon, which is an icy blue glitter highlight, which I absolutely love as well. There is a wide assortment of shades in the line and is great if you are looking for an everyday highlight or wanting to experiment with more colorful ones. I mostly use a brush to apply, my go to is the Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman Setting Brush , but if you dont have a suitable brush, you can also just use your finger and it works just as well. The highlight is buildable, so it can look natural and glowy or blinding. $8 is an incredible price for such a high quality product. They are in the same type of packaging as the ColourPop Super Shock Eye Shadow Collection , but there is about double the amount of product in the highlighters. Im so obsessed with colourpop's brand, you can never go wrong with any of their products!! This is a must have product!

Review for: Lunch Money, Highly Waisted more...
The Super Shock highlighters, much like their Ultra Satin Liquid Lipsticks, are hit and miss, but mostly good. I love all but one of the highlighters I've purchased thus far.

Highly Waisted is a stunning rosy peach with a hint of gold, and I love using it as blush topper because it's too dark on my fair skin to be a true highlight, but on someone with a deep skin tone this would be a killer highlight.

Churro is beautiful too, I love to wear it on no-makeup days because it doubles as a bronzer and a highlight, and my skin looks like it's naturally tanned.

However, my issue is with Lunch Money. It's a beautiful color, but it does not dry down even when I set it with powder or a setting spray. It just moves around on the cheeks or lifts up product underneath.

I do recommend these highlighters just do your research, and maybe look up swatches/tutorials/wear tests on YouTube to see how the products perform.

So I've only ever tried one highlighter from colourpop called "High Five" it was one they had temporarily and it's technically a pearlized super shock cheek highlighter. I LOVE colourpop and I hear their highlighters are very good but this one is different and maybe because it was a limited edition one that they released for reaching 5 million followers on Instagram. The problem I have with this one is that it's pretty on the cheek but it has large pieces/chunks of sparkle in it and those pieces end up getting all over my face just by applying it with my finger. I've tried using it twice and it's so frustrating to work with because of this. I do want to try another one of their highlighters because I'm sure it will be really pretty!!

I have the ColourPop Super Shock highlighter in Glazed, and I am here for it! The look of this highlight is really why I picked it, it was swirled with other colors. Once applied this shade is a pretty light gold and probably suits light to medium skin tones. I currently have a light/medium complexion. It's subtle if applied with a light hand but can be built up for a more pronounced highlight. Lately I've been using it as a subtle ALMOST natural glow because it does have little flecks of glitter ✨. The formula is why I think ColourPop is doing so well, it feels like a cream but sets like a powder, it's amazing. Once I run out I will be picking up this shade again and maybe a few more :)

Review for: Wisp more...
I only have the ColourPop highlighter in Wisp, which I solely purchased because I heard it was a dupe for Becca's Champagne Pop and MAC's Whisper of Gilt, neither of which I had back then (now I have the Champane Pop face palette and ADORE the highlight).
Let me just get this out of the way. This highlight is worth the money ($8!!). Better than any highlight you can pick up at CVS (except maybe those Wet n Wild ones, but I haven't tried those). This knocks Maybelline's highlights OUT OF THE PARK, and if anyone's got complaints about $5 shipping for domestic orders- they have deals and $5 off coupons all the time.
So here are the pros and cons (heads up peeps I have normal-slightly oily skin- not that it matters that much for this product).
-blinding when applied with finger
-extremely smooth and creamy
-has a lot of slip and thus can be blended into a super natural glow too
-Amazing range of colors for all different skin tones and preferences
-$8!! You can't go wrong
-Nonexistent if you try to apply with a highlighter brush. Don't. Just don't.
-Wisp has some chunky glitter here and there which I've heard can annoy people in some of the other shades but when I use my finger and blend, it's all good
-Dries out if you leave the cap open for too long (the ColourPop Curse)

Review for: Lunch Money, Glazed more...
I really love how pigmented these highlighters are and how easy they are to apply and blend in just with your finger, on your skin or over makeup depending on what you are doing. I have reordered these several times now but a little bit really does go far. I love how many color options there are because you can go with a more natural look or a really bright pop. I don’t really think these are practically buildable but the formula is unlike any other and I really love it.

Review for: Butterfly Beach, Lunch Money, Spoon, Wisp more...
I'm obsessed with these highlighters, there absolutely gorgeous. Every single one that I have tried I have loved, and has been blinding, which isn't for everyone. If you don't like a blinding highlight then you probably wouldn't like these, well actually I don't know if every color is blinding but I'm gonna assume that they are considering that I've tried like 5 of them and they all were, and every review I've ever seen on them has said that there blinding. You could always go in with a really light hand at first if you don't like a blinding highlight cuz these definitely are gorgeous, and you don't wanna miss out on them. I also love the feel of them, when you touch them they feel like there wet. There not powder and there not cream, it's weird. You definitely need to make sure that you close them tightly or they will dry out. Plus the best part about them is that there only $5 and there amazing. I definitely100% recommend these highlighters

Review for: Stole the Show more...
Stole The Show is one of my favorite ColourPop Super Shock Highlighters. It is the perfect shade for fair skin in their line. It has a pearlescent finish so it can look very natural or can be built up to look more intense. Be careful if you have a deeper skin tone because it has a white undertone in it. You can buy this on ColourPop’s website. Highly recommend!

Review for: Wisp more...
Omg when I say I was super shocked to try these super shock highlights, I mean it!!! These highlighters are blinding! I currently own the shade Wisp and I love it! It’s a dupe for the Becca Champagne POP highlight and I couldn’t be more pleased. I have to apply these with my fingers because I feel like that’s what applies them the best. For only $8 you can’t go wrong with these. And colourpop always has sales on their websites which make them even cheaper.

So I've been looking into getting some highlighters and I've heard pretty good things about colourpop. But people always tell me Anastasia Beverly Hills is the one to go with? Does colourpop stand a chance?
