I have used a very expensive, very well known department store brand for 20 years years. They have a well known 3 step system that costs about $75 for the completely system which will last about 2 months. I sat down one day and it just hit me that I was spending way too much on something when there just had to be a cheaper alternative out there. I saw this and decided to try it. I use the facewash with the number 1 on it, in a yellow bottle that I found at the same time. They work so well together, as well as the more expensive brand but I can buy the facewash, astringent and lotion (I use the dual action moisturizer for oily skin) for the price of the facewash alone made by the expensive brand. The facewash takes almost all makeup and oil off of my face but doesn't make it feel stripped and dry. The astringent removes what little makeup is left after washing and makes me feel completely clean. I will continue to buy this and not buy the expensive brand again.
Clean and Clear products were the only products I could use on my skin thru my teens and early 20's. Every other brand either broke me out or dried my skin out. I now buy these products for my 13yr old daughter and this product is great. She uses the deep clean face wash, then this toner, and then the Clean and Clear dual action moisturizer. This 3 step system works better than Mary Kay's $69 set, and just as good as proactive, for a fraction of the cost!
I really like this product, and I was skeptical when I began using it as I have kinda dry skin. I use this at night once I wash my face, and it removes any of the extra stuff that was left behind, and makes my pores feel smaller and less open to bacteria. I would definitely recommend using a moisturizer after to make sure it doesn't dry your face out, and keep it away from your eyes. It does have a scent of like... antibacterial and clean like you would expect in a hospital. But the scent quickly leaves after it dries off your skin. This helps keep the oil on my face at bay, heal any open spots, and close my pores. I am going to continue to use this nightly.
Never been a fan. If you like added alcohol and weird dyes in your astringent I say go for it. But my old Esthetician used to tell me that unless there was peppermint or something natural added that does have a cooling feature your skin isn't really supposed to tingle and burn unless you're getting a chemical peel, if that. I went to school for the same things and all my teachers agreed and told me to stay far away from anything that has any added dyes just to look different. I understand using pigment and such in makeup and cosmetics, but for something that is going on my face for the purpose of cleaning and preventing I want the most natural possible.
this really gets down into your pores and pulls out all the dirt. At first it seems like it's not working and its just breaking you out more bit its not. Its cleaning out your pores that you didn't know were clogged then after a week or two your skin is clean and clear
This is great product such for sensitive skin. Comes in a cute clear bottle you can see what’s inside which I like. It’s set a pretty good value. For a first time user I did like it and I would recommend this product to others with sensitive skin
Use this daily now. Does not burn or hurt if you get in acne. Use with cotton balls or pads. Has not changed color of any of my towels after spilling which others have bleached. Helps clear of all my leftover makeup before I use a moisturizer
I use this toner about once a week to get a good clean after removing my make up and doing my skin care routine. I'm still currently using the first bottle I ever bought so it lasts a long time if you're using it sparingly.
This is my go to product whenever I don’t have my Neutrogena it almost has the same affect as the Neutrogena musically feeling clean and fresh with the cooling feeling however the smell is a little bit more on the alcohol side
Love the smell and the look of my face after using this! It’s one of the few products that doesn’t make my skin breakout after using it. I would highly recommend this to other people and would definitely buy it again!
