I know you can use this as a spot treatment and just dab it on the pimples, but can you put a thin layer all over your face to prevent new ones from appearing?

I've done this but only in areas where I get extremely oily (i.e. my nose and chin) It can be drying so using it in areas where you don't produce a lot of oil could actual hurt your skin more than help it.

I don't know that I would do this--as Natasha t. said, I would clean your face regularly and use it as a spot treatment, so you don't put a harsher-than-necessary product anywhere else on your face.

just make sure to wash your face 2x daily and apply to certain areas and don't forget to moisturize your face to prevent any dryness from happening.but i wouldn't recommend putting it all over your face because even with moisturizing your skin will get so dry it will start chaffing.

No, don't do that. It will dry out your skin. There are plenty of other products you can use to prevent break outs.
