I have used this product for about a year and I always use a moisturizer before applying this. If not it can be really drying if you apply it all over. Also it depends on what type of skin you have, I have sensitive skin and it doesn't leave me dry at all when using a moisturizer

All acne products do this. It's a side effect of the active ingredient. They make a moisturizer as part of this line

Well sometimes it will dry out the pimple so it will flake off. That happens every once in a while but it's supposed to

If you mix it with a moisturizer then you shouldnt have any problem. but when i used it alone i didn't notice drying out other than on the actual pimple where the size decreased almost immediately.

Look, the only way it can dry up your skin is if you don't moisturize your face AFTER you do the treatment.

I have oily skin and when I applied a thin layer on my face,it dried my skin. But after learning about how to use this product, it was not that bad since it does dry out new pimples.

The active ingredient is salcylic acid, w hich in theory "dries up" a pimple or blocked pore by "sucking out" the bacteria. It is drying because that's what it doesn. You have to wash your skin, apply sparingly (not all over your face), and moisturize. You should be moisturizing twice a day, regardless of skin type, there is a moisturizer out there for it.

It dried my face out, but didn't get rid of my blemishes. I gave up on all the spot treatment products & started using witch hazel instead. I swipe it on in the morning & at night & it clears my skin up way faster!

You have to use it very sparingly and only on the spots where you need it.

I have combination skin, and it DID dry my skin out. I try not to use it as frequently as I see other Influenster members using it. I only use it as a spot treatment, because it does work on my flare ups.
